343 gets roasted to much.

I come on to the forums every other day to see whats up and every time its negative feedback. Yes maybe your not happy with the game, but these companies that produce these games put millions of $'s and 1000’s of man hours to make these games and it only takes you 3 minutes to say its crap. Think of how it makes them feel when you continuously roast them and hate on every single thing they produce. There needs to be a positive fan base to help keep a game alive. All your complaining is doing is destroying the games reputation. Yes there is a lot of things they could change, but no need to criticize 343 so badly for everything they do. Its almost as if the community is fighting 343 instead of working with them to help make the game better. Your all bullies lol

Halo 4 was a disgrace and slap in the face to Halo fans, the MCC was one of the biggest -Yoink- ups in video game history, and Halo 5 launched half finished with a number of easily avoidable problems and obviously poor choices.
No, I think they’re getting roasted as much as they deserve to.

They definitely don’t deserve any bashing after they screwed up Halo with the release of Halo 4, slapped fans in the face with the MCC, and launched Halo 5 incomplete with a garbage campaign.

Nothing wrong with H4 and I clearly don’t understand how it’s a slap in the face of fans. If you’re not happy with Halo then way still be involved? Plenty of other games you could enjoy instead of bashing this one.

Your opinion is a very rare one.

I thought Halo 4 was great!

It’s pretty fitting how much they get blown to hell. They’ve done nothing but screw up.

The community has been trying to do that ever since 343 was appointed to develop for the Halo franchise.

If you have the time, read this.

Your and you’re, to, too, and two.

And speaking frankly: if there’s one company in the industry that deserved absolutely no benefit of the doubt, it was 343. Being “roasted” is a result of 4 years of -Yoinking!- up and 4 months of -Yoinking!- up slightly less. 343’s reputation is in the crapper because that’s where most of their products have been. Halo 5 was a step in the right direction, but shipping with such a sparse number of gametypes nullified all the good will they had built up.

While I agree OP, there is really no use trying to defend them here. These forums are cancerous. I think that once upon a time they might have been constructive, but somewhere along the line it just became a culture of these forums. I don’t think that we can really change that culture with a thoughtful post. Just keep enjoying Halo and let these people people live in their echo chamber here. The people I know and the people play with agree that this is the best Halo since before Reach. I’d wager there’s a majority of the population that never bothers to come on the forums that like the job 343 did just fine.

People are idiots in general and the Halo Effect is ironically strong among the Halo community

People keep asking for constructive threads without whining, and once one is made it never stays at the top.

Well that’s the problem though: the majority of people don’t want to calmly and rationally discuss a topic. How many times have you seen a thread for reasonable debate fall off the front page because “OMG THANK/-Yoink- YOU 343” just got its 400th reply? Asking for constructive threads is code for “I don’t like what you’re talking about” more often than not.

Pretty much. “What Armor Do You Use?” threads also seem to always be popular. Once the cold hard facts are presented everyone begins to call farce, or does not bother to post.

Emotions and personal feelings are the fuel of most gamers. Start pointing out facts and they flee.

> here needs to be a positive fan base to help keep a game alive.

I’ve said this a lot but I don’t think the relatively few of us on the forums are making any impact on the general market’s impression of the game.

The game needs to be a quality, finished product in order to stay alive.

> Think of how it makes them feel when you continuously roast them and hate on every single thing they produce

I doubt they respect us enough to truly take offense. Really though if the backlash is that bad they should learn something from it.

> Nothing wrong with H4 and I clearly don’t understand how it’s a slap in the face of fans. If you’re not happy with Halo then way still be involved? Plenty of other games you could enjoy instead of bashing this one.

Halo 4 was an attempt to pander to the CoD crowd at the expense of Halo’s identity. Ignoring that it too had problems with content and post-launch support.

Well, when I get into games so severely unbalanced I think about uninstalling it to save myself stress, I’m not gonna give them praise. When my team gets destroyed so many games in a row to absurdly high level players who have put many more days into the game than my noob teammates, I will not complement them on their matchmaking. This game just feels so wrong to me right now, and I always seem to get the short end of the stick on everything Halo 5 related. I won’t ever give them praise for this stuff.

I feel as if I should for some stuff they added, but in all reality it should have been here from the start, so it sorta doesn’t matter.
