Halo 5: Guardians was one of the biggest disappointing in gaming history for me. MCC was another disappointment on the server side. Halo 4’s story/campaign was incredible, but multiplayer was another let down. 343 is currently 1 for 3 with me. But, all that power and all those teraflops (whatever the hell they are), gives 343 everything they need and then some to make a true AAA Blockbuster Halo game. I refuse to lower expectations for one of the greatest gaming franchises of all time, I want and demand an incredible game. I truly hope 343 finally blows it out of the park on their 3rd attempt at a Halo game.
Also, I have no issue paying up for a standalone Halo 3 Anniversary
I don’t see how good visuals equates to good game design, but yeah, I’m excited for Halo on the Scorpio.

It doesn’t, but I figured with all that power there’s nothing holding them back. It’s all on them now, even more so than before.

How limited was the X1 from making a decent Halo title? You mean to say, Bungie was able to create a near flawless experience because of a under-power engine in the Xbox? Well shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, we should go to the NES days then.
H5 is fine in every way except for the campaign.
Im not understanding the correlation between the Scorpio and “one last chance for 343i” that you are making.
Scorpio will be a slimmer, more powerful xbox with VR capabilities. How does that relate to creating a better game aside from graphics and server connectivity? The new xbox would have no bearing on Halo 6’s (which is what I assume you are referring to with “one last chance”) story campaign and how good it may or may not be. It will also have no bearing on multiplayer play (again, aside from the server connection aspect). Multiplayer mechanics that are currently in Halo 5 are not there because of the Xbox 1’s computing power. They are there because that is the vision of 343i and the future of Halo.
I’m just trying to understand the point you are trying to make between the correlation of a more powerful xbox leading to a better game in Halo 6. Halo 6 could look amazing graphically but have a crap story campaign and unbalanced multiplayer. 343i’s vision for Halo 6 could be -Yoink–backwards and be a complete letdown for Halo 6 but that wont be because of the xbox scorpio.
Those just aren’t necessarily linked to each other is all Im saying.

I completely disagree. I’d give you a detailed response, but I’m far past wasting my time on H5.
I honestly don’t think they can. In my opinion, it’s just the sheer lack of talent. I would like to be proven wrong though.
One could say that XB1 gave 343 “everything they need and then some to make a true AAA Blockbuster Halo game.” by way of comparison, since Halo 4 was on the 360.
I mean, if you want to give the game another chance because of Scorpio, that’s your prerogative and more power to you. See what I did there* >.< But I’m done looking for reasons to give it another chance. H5 didn’t fail, for me, because of hardware shortcomings. There was a lot more to it.
Scorpio or not, H6 is a rental for me at best, unless they outright advertise that they went back to the drawing board and started again. But even then, why should I believe the advertising if they did say that?

I just meant Scorpio gives them the hardware to make the game freely, now they have to utilize it. I know hardware doesn’t equal good game.
Thing I don’t get if all games will be available for Xbox one. I’m better off buy the next ps4 cause I already have an Xbox one. So I can play all the exclusives.
They are 0 for 3 for me, just because it seems like they abandon games after release. That is my opinion. That being said I hope Microsoft passes the reigns to another developer for Halo 6.

You are absolutely right. It’s the Halo fanboy in me that really hopes there’s one more comeback in the series, but being realistic H6 will be a wait and see unless they blow everyone away.

It will be still limited, they need to make a version for the old console

That’s fair and I’m honestly in the same boat, I want to be absolutely shocked by the next Halo, I’m not going to support it just because it’s Halo anymore.

According to Phil Spencer there’s no benefit to buying the Scoripio if you don’t have a 4K TV, so I think it’s mainly for visuals.
Biggest disappointment? Sorry, bud. I have to disagree, by quite a lot.

If anything, the older console should be limited and the Scorpio should get the superior version of the game. I’m really curious to see how all that works out.

He has to say that so the Xbox One Slim isn’t doomed for sales. I promise that there’s going to be a significant difference between the systems.

You do realize that One S is more powerful so VR can happen right? They will be forced to use the original One’s specs for the next core entry in the series or alienate a huge number of fans/potential buyers. I have a one, i dont care about VR or 4k, why would i buy an One S? Next console i am getting is NX.
