343 finally heading to a right direction?

With the gameplay from the Halo Infinite Technical Preview received positive reactions, does this show that 343 Industries is finally heading to a right direction?

I’ve been playing Halo 4 and 5. On PC at least it runs and plays beautifully so asking if they’re going in the right direction is a little confusing to me. I admire that they were trying to do something different with the story progression?

I think projects like the MCC show they have been moving in the right direction for years now. Its been a bumpy ride for certain, but we are still making progress.

Yes! I think they are!. MCC shows it and the infinite flight did to as well!.

They got off to a controversial start with Halo 4 but in recent times they’ve done some great things, I miss the technical preview already, it was so, so, so much fun to play.

I would argue that they started moving in the right direction the moment they ported MCC to PC and implemented the Season system.

Infinite looks great and it appears that 34ei is finally listening to the community.

I personally think H5 was the right direction away from H4, and Infinite appears to be even more so. Not to mention their terrific support of MCC recently.

Yeah, 343 Industries follow in a similar way like how Kevin Feige, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni communicate with Marvel fans and Star Wars fans. They listen to the feedback from Halo fans. At the same time, 343 Industries also communicate with Halo fans.

I definitely believe that 343 is doing some things right. The flight and some of the elements that we saw felt really good! I am really focused on the campaign though, for me , that’s where 343 needs to make an impact. We still have yet to see 343’s plans for Halo and since its going to be a live service game, I’m hoping that they can really move the narrative of the story and get back to those Halo feels of conflict, war and heroism. Character development will be a must for me, they have so many characters in the Halo Universe that not growing on that would probably be a mistake.

I am a huge fan of the Spirit of Fire crew. They absolutely deserve to be involved in the future narrative of the Halo story. Jerome, Isabel, Cutter!! The possibilites are enormous!

Anyways, don’t want to get to carried away but 343 did start something and I’m wishing them the best!

You mentioned the characters from the Halo Wars video games. They are one of those characters that I really want to see appearing in the upcoming Halo Infinite. Personally, I still want to see Master Chief meet Jerome-092, Ellen Anders and James Cutter.

Just imagine how cool would it be to see the reactions from Jerome-092, Ellen Anders and James Cutter when they meet Master Chief for the very first time in Halo Infinite.

With gameplay? I’d assume so. Granted, I had no real issues with 4 or 5 in that front, so I’d probably be fine with whatever. Infinite’s is getting a lot of positive buzz, so take that for what you will.

With story? Total crapshoot.

I believe they are finally going in the right direction yes.

I’m actually very optimistic when it comes to Halo and it’s future. Maybe this is just my hype for Infinite getting the better of me but I don’t really think so. It seems, to me at least, that Halo is undergoing a sort of “Renaissance”, if you will. And I think this is a product of the steps that 343 have taken recently. Also, looking retrospectively on past 343 Halo titles, more specifically for me, Halo 4, I find myself enjoying the game a lot more than I did when I first played it years ago. I appreciate the campaign a lot more now, and the multiplayer is more enjoyable to me than it used to be. (Still not a huge fan of the more CoD-like elements though).

343 in my opinion, has been moving in the right direction for a while now. They redeemed themselves when it comes to MCC, and they seem so far to be doing a great job with Infinite. Only time will tell for sure though. Whenever the topic of how 343 is handling the franchise comes up, I personally always try to think of how vast a responsibility 343 was born into and inherited. This doesn’t excuse 343 from any wrongdoing when they do wrong of course, it’s just a good thing to think about when the topic does come up, I think.

Agreed. Ever since 343 Industries bring the Halo Master Chief Collection to Steam, they have been doing a really good job. At the same time, they also have been doing the seasons and updates for the Halo Master Chief Collection on Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.

Looking at the upcoming Halo Infinite, this is the one thing that makes me very happy. Ever since E3 2020 and E3 2021 came out, 343 Industries is taking their time to make Halo Infinite the best Halo video game especially when it comes to the animations, visual effects, graphics and gameplay. After seeing the gameplay footage from the Halo Infinite Technical Preview, this new Halo video game is starting to get a lot more exciting.

They’ve been doing the right thing since MCC and I believe halo infinite will be one of the best if not THE Best in the franchise.

Here is another thing that I like about the upcoming Halo Infinite. I like that 343 Industries really want the new Halo video game to go back to basics especially when it comes to the Master Chief’s armor. I really like that Master Chief’s armor going back in a similar style of Halo 2 and Halo 3.

agreed, i think it’s the best chief has looked in a long time.

I feel like they have been heading in the right direction for a while. With them returning focus to giving MCC and then the huge success of Outpost Discovery. (Which felt really special and returned my faith in the company) They are really listening to us and while not everyone has to same opinions it feels like they are trying to find middle ground for everything.

I think they have shown that they are willing to keep working on new things that work and shedding new things that didn’t. I think Infinite looks to be the culmination of everything people loved about Bungie Halo spiced up with what 343 and modern gaming have created.

to early to say im waiting for the real game to come out not some partial snip it of of the game
