With 343 bringing back the DMR and making it better than the BR and its reach counterpart, it seems like 343i is favoring reach fans. I think that 343 should either:
A. make the BR 4sk
or
B. Make less aim assist on the DMR at all ranges
Thoughts?

from what it looks like so fare, they’re balanaced pretty decentely, at mid - close range the BR out plays the DMR but at the longer rages the DMR is going to out play the BR which is how it should be.

Even though I also have concerns about the BR, I haven’t played Halo 4 yet. I trust 343i to make the correct decisions for balancing.

Because 343i brings in a good weapon from a previous game because they want to expand the sandbox definetly means they favor Reach fans! /sarcasm.
They are still tweaking it. The DMR is made for long ranges, as it should be, but becomes harder to use in closer ranges.
The BR is made for medium to closer ranges, and is very effective when teamates are around. Its easier to use at close range.
Thats how they’re balancing it. They aren’t favoring anything except balance.
The DMR is not better than the BR. The BR and DMR have equal kill times.
Making the BR a 4sk would completely make the BR overpowered. The DMR would become completely useless in all situations except for very far away.
Also, the H4 DMR is a 5 shot kill, as is the Reach version. However, the Halo 4 DMR has a slower fire rate… so how is it better than the Reach version?

The DMR shoots faster in Halo 4
plus, it has less bloom

All indications are that this is the case. A smaller reticle with less magnetism than Reach’s to offset its long range power.

If it does, it does so by only 100ms.
Just so you know, the H4BR fires faster than the H3BR and maybe even the H2BR. But as you also know, how fast a weapon shoots is only part of the equation.
I don’t think 343 “favours” any fans. In fact, I think there are many of us who are fans of, well, Halo

Shut the hell up Fierce you’re making too many threads about your BR play the game first -Yoink!- it! Also understand the roles of each weapon before you ask for a TU or something I forgot what thread this is you’re making too many of them -Yoinking!- about the same damn thing! BR seem kinda faster and more …Well, VERY effective at medium range but the DMR is something you use, not to face people… But instead to stay back and take people out, the BR is for the people that literally just wanna rush the hell in and take out some people, the DMR at this point seems to me like it would be good for the people that wanna support the guys that just rush in like maniacs… And while they’re getting killed you’re hanging back with your DMR, easy to take out but you’re not the first person to be targeted.

It’s not the weapon,it’s the user,and if you are able to kill the DMR user with the BR you get to pat yourself on the back : )
