343 Failed with Halo 5?!

In my opinion, Halo 5 is lacking in comparison to other games. Destiny is an open world game where you can go on adventures, do missions, search for things, and play multiplayer. Gta is an open world game where you can join a game with a bunch of ppl and either kill them or travel with them around Los santos, or do missions or heists. Cod Black ops 3 you can play multiplayer with a bunch of different game modes (classic and new modes) play campaign and play zombies…not to mention the customizing in that game is awesome. Now let’s look at halo 5…it lacks a great story for campaign…it lacks game modes for multiplayer and custom games…like I really don’t see a real incentive to play halo 5…req packs don’t even matter to me bc I can’t play more than 3 games of warzone bc it gets boring fast. And I hate that arena is the only thing we can play. I hate havin to play competitively all the time. Where’s the fun at in halo 5 ? And I’m sick of rotations it’s just like halo 4…I get tired of wanting to play something that was there a day ago and the next day it’s gone. Make ever playlist permanent. And keep adding so it gives us more things to play in halo 5 stop removing things. This is getting aggravating…

That’s so subjetive…

By the way, with such a variety of unrelated games, why not compare it to Deus Ex, Witcher 3, or Pokémon while you are at it?

Why are you trying to compare H5 to Destiny and GTA? They’re not even the same type of games.

Comparing and FPS to 2 open world games.
Thats like me comparing a movie to a chocolate bar.

Halo 5 is completely different than Destiny and GTA. It also has a wider skill gap compared to COD.

You’re free to leave, halo will still be here.

Halo 5 is totally lacking compared to other games. I mean look at poker for example, that game was created in 1829 and it’s STILL going strong. Obviously poker is doing something right, and look at all the fun people are having in Vegas playing it. Halo 5 needs to seriously take some tips from all this game has to offer.

The story was pretty bad. Hopefully they step up their post-launch support soon.

I love it. The most fun I’ve had since Halo 3. Only bad thing is lack of playlists. Instead of testing some out and taking them away, just put them all in and let us have our fun.

Halo 5 didn’t fail it just under delivered, gameplay wise it fixes all the issues from Halo 4.

The game just wasn’t completed in time and they had to push it out unfinished and hope for the best. That’s what I think happened. They said they are still working on the gamemodes in some twitter post.

I would love me some open world Halo, but that doesn’t mean that I consider any linear, level-based game in that franchise to be a failure. (Regardless of 343 or Bungie or anybody as a developer.)

Gametypes is another topic, but there are enought threads about that already…

I’d argue that it’s gotten even worse from Halo 4, gameplay-wise.

Spread buffs when zooming give inconsistent weapon handling? Put it on all guns instead of just precision weapons.
Sprint elongated maps and allowed players to run away from fights? Make sprint never run out so you can blow up the maps even more and fleeing players never have to stop.
Armor abilities were gimmicky and detracted from gunplay? Give all of them at the same time to every player from the get-go.

The only improvement I see in H5G is equal starts, but that really doesn’t fix that much. An imbalanced mechanic doesn’t suddenly get balanced just because every player has access to it.

You guys are so quick to misunderstand. I’m saying it lacks variety unlike other games that are popular. And the story is bland to me, sorry to tell you guys that.

And telling me to leave bc of my opinion is childish

So is telling other people that their opinions are wrong though.

Halo needs to learn from pokemon! In pokemon games I can go around exploring various lands and get into random battles with wild pokemon. I can also talk to other people and trade pokemon with my friends. I wont even touch halo 5 until I can stuff a grunt into a pokeball and throw it at other spartans during multiplayer and also trade them with my friends.

The Destiny comparison is funny. You say Halo 5’s story is lacking? And that you can go play multiplayer in Destiny? The story in Destiny was a punchline and the PVP is the worst gaming experience I’ve had in my life. Not sure how that game doesn’t get boring, can’t imagine how long it takes someone to farm relic iron and run the same strikes repeatedly hoping maybe you’ll get the gear to rank up…

Halo 5 and destiny are exactly the same. Just one is open world and the other isn’t. But that wasn’t my point. I’m stating that those games give us an incentive to want to keep playing unlike halo 5. Which lacks in a lot of areas. If they want more ppl to buy they product they have to do a lot more than just the what we are use to seeing. As well as being unique. It needs variety. More things one the table. It’s not enough to do. There’s no challenges that are worth going for, there’s nothing in the story that makes you want to keep going back…there’s not even unlock able things that make you want to play the story on legendary with all skulls on. The only one they did was helioskrill…and you have to play mcc for that…not worth it.

I accept those comments but it’s my opinion and I can see that they are the reason halo 5 is failing in comparison to those games as well as previous halo titles
