Halo 5 falls short. The lack of severe content will destroy the logevity of the game. Just watch, by the end of this month the population will be low, just like Halo 4. I guarantee it. This Halo game does nothing unique or interesting that any other Halo game couldn’t do. In fact I’d say it even does less.

Capture the Flag and a messed up version of Territories, and like four different versions of Slayer? But where’s all the objectives? Where’s the fun wacky games? Where’s that Ricochet game that they loved so much they even put it in Halo 2 Anniversary? They don’t even have that? Sigh…
But it switches between the Chief and some other character! Oh wait… You’re not the Chief for most of the game! Oh wait… It has 15 missions, some of which aren’t even missions! Oh wait… RNG! YES IT HAS RNG! No other Halo has ever been so full of RNG, it’s depressing!

You’re absolutely right. Don’t roll out content slowly over time in order to give the game some longevity. Put it all out on day one so people such as yourself can come back in two months and complain about how they’re bored with the game because there’s no DLC and no new playlists.

I disagree
I think the fact that all the christmas players coming in along with all the custom games, btb, and forge coming out will keep the game running just fine. That is assuming people like yourself are patient.
The game has good ideas, still several things have to be addressed.
