There are some things I am noticing about the ai in Halo 5 that I didn’t notice until I started playing firefight that are just ridiculous.
-
Why can elites and jackals practically jump 2 complete stories now? In Halo 4, they at least needed jump packs. Grunts still do. I thought they were using jump packs until I just watched a few elites jump all the way up to the top overlook of an armory. They just leapt like a freaking cricket. Why do elites suddenly have the ability to jump like the Hulk? Was it too hard to have them path up there via walking? I can see jackals making high jumps, but not that high. They do the same thing. Did the Covenant develop springs in their boots? In past games, elites had to climb on top of boxes or only jumped as high as a spartan. It just feels lazy.

Why do so many weapons in firefight track? I was annoyed that the boltshot and suppressor tracked in multiplayer but I got over it because it wasn’t too tough to counter. In firefight, hunter fuel rods track, knight incineration cannons track(Non-heartseeker variants), banshee fuel rods track, most promethean weapons track. Seriously, what gives. Did 343 look at the needler and decide “That! Make every weapon that.” It is just cheap and lazy game design. I really hope they don’t include this nonsense in Halo 6. It isn’t good game design and it doesn’t make enemies any more fun to fight, it just makes them annoying.

Why are Prometheans such ridiculous bullet sponges? It takes an entire AR magazine and 2 melees to kill a standard soldier. Sniper weapons are practically useless as enemies, both covenant and Promethean, take 2-3 rounds or more to kill with one(even shielded grunts take 2 whole rounds to the head to kill. They just aren’t worth their cost unless you manage to get them for very specific rounds. Did 343 not watch the whole Bungie vidoc that talked about why they reworked brutes from halo 2 to halo 3? They specifically did it because Halo 2 brutes were boring bullet sponges. Many Prometheans don’t even react to being shot. In campaign, you could shoot a charging knight to stagger it by blowing off some armor. I have had it happen several times in fightfight were I blow off a chunk of armor and it just charges unfazed only to 1 shot me with a scattershot. Like, what the hell am I supposed to do in that situation?
Please, 343, put better effort into designing enemies for Halo 6. Look to Halo 1 - Reach for some inspiration because the Halo 5 enemies suck compared to them.

You’re talking about A.I. attributes in firefight not their designs. Ridiculous is spelled with two 'i’s. You should post your issues in the warzone firefight feedback thread stickied to the top.
AI enemy design is still part of enemy design. its one aspect of coming up with and populating a game with baddies.
rediculous is when something is diculous for a second, third, fourth, (etc.) time.
yes this should be in firefight feedback.
Could be worse, They could bring back the Flood

343i’s version of the Flood would likely make Prometheans look tame by comparison. I for one am getting annoyed by the fake difficulty spikes.
If you have a problem taking out soldiers OP use an smg. It doesn’t even take half the clip to take out a round 5 soldier the spread hits the weak spot so much that it just shreds through soldiers and even a legendary knight’s weak spots.
I know what you mean I sniped an elite in the head and it didn’t even phase him it can be really annoying

Snipes Elite in head.
Elite doesn’t care, proceeds to stick you with a Plasma Grenade from across the map.
