Let’s not beat around the Bush. The monetization is a double dipping into our wallets offering. And this I is how they do it.
First in Halo 5 we had 47 default color options…
What 343 did was they took the 48 options and gave us 10 for the Mark VII and and Mark V (B). Than they went ahead and locked the other 38 colors behind a paywall and bagan to drip feed them to us.
Than they are taking those 38 remaining basic colors and locking them to a specific armor core. Ex: scarlet Wake for the Mark VII, than renaming it and reselling it to you. Than they take Yoroi armor and limit you to one color and than try to re sell you Cadet Blue.
Right now of you look at the colors that are completely Ng soon, they are going to sell us Tan. Not an amazing tan just the default tan from Halo 5.
When Halo Infinite drops a new Armor core… The players are going to have to start from square one with repurchasing the same cosmetics again. I’d be ok with grinding out the same armor peices and cosmetics but man imagine getting your Mk 7 and Mk B to where you want it. They drop a new core you really like it but non of the stuff you already bought works on it lol.
They are just gonna double dip you and say it’s all new content. I mean it’s genius on their end marketing wise to resell you the same stuff whilst not having to out in much effort in creativity. But yea it’s going to suck if your really into cosmetic customizations. And Al you get is maybe a cool intro into multiplayer.
The feeling of customization doesn’t equate to the price as Halo I finite doesn’t make you feel like it’s worth it the same way Reach did.
And when you do get the free stuff aka the free events coming up, your not getting more content, your getting roughly 50% XP / challenge swaps. And the rest is mostly the same.emblem or coating unlocked
