As the game progresses, along with individual player skill, there have been an alarming number of QQ / Nerf threads floating about the forums. I’m here to tell you 343, do NOT give in to these cry-babies. Halo has never been about “fairness”, it has only ever exampled balance.
When you start giving into the demands of these forum kids who are never satisfied with the game, it becomes a downward spiral for the loyal fan base. These whiners are essentially “black holes” in the community, in that nothing is ever good enough.
I don’t mind seeing the occasional REQ cost revamps and things of that nature, but when you get deeper into the equation and start nerfing individual weapons and time-to-kills, you enter dangerous territory. Next thing you know, the commoners will want free overshields on spawn when they are getting creamed in Warzone. You guys have already delivered an amazing game with a beautiful ranking system.
I understand the game needs more social/casual playlists such as: griffball, infection, and perhaps some action sack - but the future is promising.
343, you guys are doing a great job so far, so all I’m asking is to simply ignore any thread containing the word “nerf” altogether and keep this game HALO.
Amen. Don’t turn this game into Destiny by constantly changing weapons so much that the game is now 2 years in and still doesn’t know what it it. I don’t think 343 will do that, but if they did, it wouldnt surprise me since the took H4’s DMR and screwed it so much that it was useless.

I do agree with the nerfing weapons it dosnt matter how powerful they are you need to learn how to beat the guy with the Rec with skill they shouldn’t be easy to kill because they probably earned it so just stop where you are 343.

Are you saying the DMR in this game sucks? The DMR in this game is great it’s just as good as the battle rifle.
Good post. The fact that 343 is looking into things like red/blue color balancing tells me that they are concerned about the right things. (The explanation for change in blue team shading was really interesting.)

I’d like to be able to see medals in-game as well and more stats on how the opposing players performed. I feel an update to the UI is inevitable - it’s just a matter of when 343 decided to do it.
