343 don't give in to the nerf herders

343 don’t give in to the nerf herders!!! This is what happened with Bungie/Destiny and blammed the whole game up!! As devs own the experience you want to create for the game. The experience is difficult at times, but not unbeatable. I probably won more than half the WZ FF games I played yesterday running solo. It reminds me of raiding in Destiny a bit where not everyone is going to complete it all the time.

Another hater on Destiny, sadly.

Disagree, WZFF is too frustrating as it stands and doesn’t work on the older maps with randomised rounds.

Ill admit i have not played destiny for a long time as it was a very small game with little to keep me playing. I was done with it within 2 months. Paying £20 for small updates really was not a good move either.

Not changing anything about WZFF is suicide

I played Destiny since the beta, I still really do like it but I play Halo 5 more often now.
I’m waiting for the Rise of Iron, for which I’m really excited!

I do agree that the price tag on the DLC is a bit high, although I got all of the DLC for free with the limited edition.

I hope they don’t give into the nerfs. I’m enjoying it for what it is now. The beta version was just boring and easy. It’s really not super hard when everyone on the team coordinates, and aims for the same boss targets at once.

I think it’s a great game type overall after completing quite a few by myself (and I’m definitely not the best Halo player ever…) although I can see why people want things changing. Decreasing the respawn times a small amount and increasing the speed of reqs would just make it a little more enjoyable instead of sweaty.

I found Firefight frustrating also, but we have to remember that a mode isn’t supposed to appeal universally to every Halo 5 player: it’s an added room in a house where hopefully everyone can find a favorite place. Arena has TONS of permutations, but its core appeal is for those who enjoy pure PvP. I still know a number of people who don’t enjoy being online with level 100+ strangers and really enjoy a small group of friends going through the campaign together in co-op. To me, Firefight is for those who enjoy co-op challenge modes specifically. That’s not me personally, but I enjoy it for different reasons: the space to test out Req types that aren’t as effective in regular Warzone (Pool of Radiance, gungeese, etc.), and the ungodly profitable Req ROI.

I’d say just give it an increase in Reqs at the very most, for those occasional round 3 Warden bosses. Otherwise, I’d keep it how it is. People are getting upset that they aren’t winning every single match, even though it’s ok to lose a match here and there.

Yeah I think an increase in REQs would help more than we think but the respawn time is so long on round five, I probably just need to get better at staying alive! They’ve done well to make it similar to wins/losses in normal Warzone though, I guess.

Guys, at least he didnt call us scruffy lookin’. That would have been WAY over the line.

It can be frustrating with randoms, but in a Fireteam its really pretty easy.

AMEN!!! This game was dying for a challenging PvE mode and now that we have it people just need to GIT GUD!!

The issue is the spawn timer and spawn locations IMO. I agree it shouldn’t be “spawn after zero seconds every round” but 30 seconds? Come on. That’s just too much. Especially based on the fact that the hardest round (5, or at least it should be as it’s the last one) is the easiest to die in because of the more advanced enemies. So we’re being punished for any play style that isn’t “sit back and snipe”. I’m a rush player. I always (well not in FF because it’s impossible to suck that much) have a K/D right around 1 because I run in and gun and then die. That should work just fine in this game mode since the death isn’t negatively effecting my teams score. But no, rush in on a later round, die, wait 30 seconds, and THEN respawn 3/4 OF THE MAP AWAY! So you are essentially out of the action for 1 minute of a 5 minute round. Die twice and you miss half of the round. Great thinking 343i…

Other than that, the defend the core objective is just stupid. I faced it on urban in the second round when it was up on the hill. The Prometheans had already done 25% damage before the first spartan could get there. We cleared out that wave and a few more, until the Knights started showing up. Normally they aren’t a problem, but at this point we were level 3 and possibly 4 REQs. First wave goes down and with it some spartans, me included. While I’m waiting to respawn, the next wave appears. 10(!!!) knights with some randoms lower guys spawn not 20 feet from the objective. Then I spawn 40 miles away and the objective is dead before anyone can get back.

Legendary Grunt could take a little less damage to kill. I emptied 8 rockets into him with less than 1/10th of his health left and he didn’t die, But he’s a pretty cool new boss and I enjoy fighting him. Game mode isn’t too bad overall, just the few things I listed. Otherwise, the higher difficulty is challenging but not impossible, which is how it should be.

The original FF from ODST was sweaty as hell…Firefight is supposed to be difficult.

Please 343, don’t nerf FF.

Perfect response. I just noted this on another thread. Coordination is key in WZFF. If people are complaining about it being too hard, put your mic on, and jump in party chat.

The mode is just screaming it wasn’t test difficulty wise after the beta.

They heard it was too easy during the beta, and thought up some ideas to make it more difficult
More health
Respawn timer increasing every round
Near perfect accuracy for the AI

They threw those in there and worked on the bosses, if they play tested it, it doesn’t really show.

and it seems the mode was never tested with anything else other than Stormbreak and the new WZ map, as Urban, Array, and A.R.C seem to have awful boss placements, and players spawn half way across the map when they respawn from their 30 second wait. Even stormbreak has those awful spawns.

I love the challenge, and I just won like 2 matches in a row. My team was cooperating and it was a great match. People will get better over time no doubt. I hope they keep it difficult.

It would’ve been worse if he called us muffins
