I am a dedicated Halo fan. It is one of my favourite game series of all time. Regardless of the state of the MCC, I am going to buy Halo 5. And many people will probably do the same. But unfortunately, this means that 343 has no real reason to care about the MCC or its players. They have no real incentive to fix it because It will not earn them anymore money. They know that people will still buy Halo 5. Why would they spend time and resources fixing the MCC if they gain no profit from it.
It feels like 343 aren’t listening to the original fans at all. It feels a lot more like they are trying to appeal to the other FPS community, rather then the dedicated fans who have followed and supported Halo since its conception. I realize Halo has to evolve, but it shouldn’t be changed so much to the point where it doesn’t even feel or play like a Halo game anymore. So many fans have been lost because of what happened to the MCC. If you don’t like the direction Halos multiplayer is going, and you would rather play the old Halo multiplayer, then too bad. Because if it isn’t fixed, you’ll have to either play the new multiplayer, or make do with a broken old multiplayer with less then 5% of the launch day population still playing.
I am not buying Halo 5 because I support 343, or their decisions, or because I don’t care about the state of the MCC. I’m buying it because it’s Halo. Even though I do not particularly like Halos current developers. Who are liars, and care more about their money than their fans. It’s still Halo. I want to continue the story and I want to continue to play Halo. I just wish 343 would be more considerate with their fans, and would actually care enough about them to listen to what they say and do something about it. As well as not purposely ripping them off in order to receive more profit.
Unless this happens, unless 343 starts changing their attitude, then I fear that the Halo we know and love is dead. Forever.
Lol in before “Yeah bungie was great!”
If you think 343i are not listening, tell me one dev who listens in your opinion. MCC works now and their still patching, is that good? No. But you all act like they are going to abandon it, where is the logic in that?
But, I know logic does not work here so…
I feel the same way when I played the beta, i didn’t feel playing halo game. I´m a halo fan and I will buy the game just the story.
I played the beta I got bored very fast, felt playing call of duty. That is depressing.
You’re right, they don’t care. They released a broken game then tried to fix it. Who does that?
The Halo 5 beta? They only listened to feedback because they’re trying to throw panda rings at the audience for more sales.

Uh… Nice people trying to make up for their mistakes?
Get it working 100% and then maybe sell additional DLC that is how they can profit from it. Plenty of room to expand mcc if they get it working 100%
I think 343 cares. It cares because it wants to make money. And you know what, welcome to business. However it doesn’t CARE like Bungie did, period, and it shows. It doesn’t ‘get it’ like Bungie did. Frankly, 343 is not as competent as Bungie.
It shows.

Maybe not the Bungie that used to be, but After Halo 3 Bungie went downhill, fast.

Halo 1, great. Halo 2 awesome. Halo 3 climax. MS steps on toes. Bungie’s last game = Reach. Reach = door for Destiny.
If Bungie was really making HALO games again, it would ‘get it’ and deliver on Halo 5.

I doubt it. Bungie completely neglected fan feedback from Halo Reach and Destiny is probably one of the biggest disappointments in Video Game history, and not to mention Most of Bungie isn’t the Bungie we remember.
Firstly, you have to ask yourself, does Bungie want to make another Halo game. Probably not, that’ why they sold Halo and moved on to Destiny. Second, people really think that Bungie wouldn’t have done the things 343 has. They would. People like to forget that most of the things people hated in Halo 4 and are skeptical about in Halo 5 originated in Reach.
Now let’s look at Destiny. Halo has a varied and unique weapon and vehicle Sandbox. Destiny has Sniper Rifles, Assault rifles (in the three, generic flavors of Burst, auomatic, and single shot), Shotguns, pistols, LMGs… All stuff we see in other games that play exactly the same. But hey, since it’s Bungie, the game didn’t have ADS and Sprinting… Oh wait. At least the Multiplayer doesn’t have low kill times, and people getting killed across the maps from most weapons, and it certainly doesn’t have over powered gimmicks in the form of special abilities… Hold up…

That’s a really bat way to put it. Why was it broken in the first place? Makes me not want to buy their games at launch.
I’m not saying they don’t care though.

It’s honestly more of an oversight… a very amateurish and embarrassing oversight. I’m not saying acceptable, but it’s not like they haven’t touched it since release.

Lmao! Don’t mean to laugh at your opinions and all BUT looking like halo due to ADS and clamber i understand. Saying FELT like call of duty tho?? When’s the last time you played cod? Either you were terrible at the BETA or your terrible at call of duty.

Because they were forced to make halo when they wanted to do something else.

Lmao reach says hello. But doesn’t matter since bungie we knew is long gone.

It’s a contract that they agreed to. Trust me, Bungie wasn’t losing any sleep over making Reach (and millions of dollars).

i would disagree, i HATE Cod wiith a BURNING PASSION! and love Halo with every cell in my body, but i did used to play alot of cod back when it was still good, like Cod 2 and Cod4. but Halo 5 does not play anything like Cod, at all.
One way or anohther, youre eventually going to get over the fact that the box doesnt have the word BUNGIE on it. MCC was broken. Its now fixed. Halo 5 beta was widely recieved with praise, and most of the things that the majority of the community didnt like will be changed. 343 started off on a bad note with H4, but theyre doing a much better job now.
As for H5 not “feeling” right, i just dont know what to tell you. They literally only added sprint and side dashing. You cant honestly expect microsoft to be okay with letting their most important franchise be watered down to a pretty version pf Halo 2 with no improvements or changes to it with every release. Embrace change man. Dont get stuck in your ways like the old ladies at church.
