The pickup weapons should be good. They, by design, should perform better than the starter weapons (AR/Sidekick) or be a worthy secondary to the BR. Or at least they should all have something they excel at, not being mediocre at.
More often than not, there is no point in picking up the Ravager, the Sentinel Beam, the Plasma Pistol, the Pulse Carbine, the Disruptor and the Commando.
The Hydra, Shotgun and Stalker Rifle offer such a meager advantage over Starting weapons and in such a tiny niche that they are generally not satisfying to use. As soon as you miss 1 shot, you are doomed.
What’s the point of a brand new game with a new sandbox full of guns that no one wants to use? Because it’s exactly what’s been happening with Halo Infinite.
Even if you buff/restore some of the above weapons to an acceptable or strong state, they will never be as lethal as the true Power Weapons like the Rocket, Sniper, Sword or their counterparts. They just will be fun and satisfying mid tier weapons, as they should be.
Please, let your game be a blast, not watered down.
