What’s the point of leaving feedback when 343 doesn’t read their own forum? Please provide proof of 343 replying to anyone on the forums.
Only person at 343 who responds is Bravo on twitter.
Stop wasting your time.

They do read the forums. But would you respond when your community acts like a bunch -Yoinks!- at every opportunity? We’ve had both Frankie and the support team respond in this very forum a few times.

Reading doesn’t mean they have to reply. The game would never get done if 343i employees responded to every single post.
Besides, 343i isn’t usually active themselves on this forum. That may or not be because they usually end up getting bombarded by idiots who think it’s okay to send them death threats over a video game. Which yes, has happened.
You’ll find people like Frankie more active on Neogaf, and I’ve actually had some good luck getting responses on twitter from the Halo account and multiple employees.
And, you want proof that 343i employees do read the forums?
GrimBrotherOne and Catalog over in the Universe section are often pretty active.

This, though it would be nice if people popped into the mp forum more
How much 343i members actually read posts on these forums, I don’t know. But these forums are not designed with feedback in mind. Primarily this is a place for the community members to discuss with each other. You should approach the forums as such: a place to discuss a franchise you like with fellow fans. That’s the true purpose of this place.
I have a history of making lots of very detailed and critical posts about the state of Halo. But I don’t write those intended as feedback to the developers. If one of them happens to see one of my posts, cool. But ultimately my posts are intended to be read and criticized by other community members, solely for discussion purposes. I’m not expecting my posts to make any difference, and you shouldn’t either.
The reality of it is, forums aren’t a good form of gathering feedback. Regardless of if you think your posts are constructive, I can guarantee that it’s buried under piles of useless posts. The signal-to-noise ratio on large, open forums like these is abysmal. Even if you could ignore all the useless noise, you would run into pages upon pages of back and forth discussion of conflicting opinions, which takes time to read and isn’t guaranteed to give a definitive answer to the question you’re looking for. Finally, even if you ignore all that, you still face the issue that forums are fundamentally biased towards negative views. People who are happy or don’t care enough to complain aren’t present. So, for the purposes of getting a random statistical sample to know what people want, forums are the absolute last place to look at.
That’s not to say all feedback on forums is useless. If there’s some big issue with your game, your forums will tell you about it. So for major performance issues forums are great. But as soon as you get into the realm of gameplay design, the usefulness of forum feedback diminishes.
i think I saw franky on the forums once…

I did. He got seventy likes just for showing up.
So?
I don’t go on football forums in the hopes that the denver broncos’ management will see my posts and change the team. I just wanna discuss football.
I come here to discuss Halo.

Yeah this guy gets it. Yall wanna get they attention, go tweet at em. Brav and the whole gang respond there.
90% of the changes made after the Halo 5 beta were suggested right here on the forums daily.
What more proof would I need?

They rarely post but they do look. Honestly i dont blame them for being silent, i would too.
Bungie took ideas from its forums and added things in from the largest suggestion threads when they did halo.
343 we dont know yet. A thread on default thrusters appeared durring the h4 early days and its in h5.
If we see good custom games options or elites in mm then yes that’ll be proof.

Uhh… who’s shouting?
GrimBrotherOne has posted almost daily. Just go over to the Universe section and right there is a 343i employee.
Besides, it’s not like you have any proof that they don’t read the forums?

that is probably the most stupid post anyone has said.
most of posts with 343 responding are either on the Universe section (lore related stuff ONLY) by GrimBrotherOne or Catalog or are so old and burried that it would be too hard to find.

Exactly this…forums are nessecarly a good source of feedback…a perfect example would be the MCC forums…If that’s your definition of feedback…
Forums are primarly used for discussion. This forum is actually more civil then the MCC forums anyhow.
