343 doesn't get Balance

This isn’t a complete hate thread towards 343 I’m just stating my opinion on something.

343 you honestly don’t seem to get how to balance casual and competitive game play well at all.

Halo 4 releases and it’s the most casual halo game to ever exist. It’s actually so casual that it getshould dropped from mlg. I mean you spawn with camo and a boltshot, that works like a shotgun come on. My wife was able to play halo 4 and about 10 kills a game she sucks at videogames, she played halo 2,3 and reach and struggled to get 4 kills. Now I prefer her struggling and gaining skill then being handed kills and weapons.

Halo 4 had no map control no weapon control and really no ranking system to be seen. Yes 343 implemented CSR but it was only viewable on this site which kinda made it useless. Honestly I MO halo 4 was great in mcc for some reason it felt balanced with casual players and competitive. My friends and I really enjoyed it

Now let’s get to my rant on halo 5.

Don’t get my wrong I love halo 5 I think it’s a great game but it seems casual game play was completely sacrificed for this game just for pros to have something to play. You literally shouldn’t try to play arena solo since alot of people run as teams and the MM system doesn’t seem to know how to match teams with teams and randoms with randoms.

Also power weapons spawning every 2 minutes seems way to fast and letting everyone know when they spawn also has taken a skill curve away, which is sorta good but bad idk I just think it work well without a giant indicator in the map.

I believe 343 is going the right direction now but they need to hurry up, we have 1 social playlist I don’t really see why we don’t at least have social slayer, social arena? This should of been released day 1 it just would of made some sense. We all know 343 takes it sweet time and we don’t need another mcc where it was too late. Honestly they have are proven this time around it was about the pros. It’s proven by the fact not one casual Gametype was included with halo 5, I bet if no one said anything about this the game types wouldn’t even be getting introduced back into H5 even though they have been in halo since 2. Like where is bomb, race, infection, br starts, king of the hill, oddball, juggernnaut, why are we getting less and less each game

I’m a big fan of the way and how often power weapons spawn. Getting a warning that they’re coming is a great rush when you know there’s about to be a fight over that Incineration Cannon.

It’s a matter of opinion with this. I myself prefer the old way but I don’t completely hate this. Idk it just felt more rewarded to time it in my head them have the game tell me. But again that’s my opinion

LOL i thought you meant weapon balance… I’m like feels balanced to me. Casual stuff is coming soon. Hopefully by the end of this month. I think they really wanted to start with the competitive side first for the HCS players and then finish with the casual side for the summer. If only they have give more to us last month, but eh.

Yes, you cannot deny that 343 dropped the ball at effectively implementing a system where both social/casual and competitive players can enjoy this game. But, I have to disagree on the time weapons and power ups spawn. CE was every 1 minute for power ups and 2 minutes for power weapons. I believe the 2 minute timer is perfect for game flow.

I feel rockets should be 3 minute timers and sniper 2 minutes. I’ve played games where the rockets are literally the only reason my team or the other team are winning because they spawn so much. Overshield every 2 minutes isn’t bad but camo is almost ridiculous considering how op it has become.
