yep, a few games i played i played them for years until they got bad “games” , cash grabs, and one server i payed money for ( not much glad ) got closed so then i stopped playing all those online games because it doesnt feel right anymore. i hope we will be able to play offline too, if its only by online it feels more a web game than a disc game, right now i play more 360 games because the games of these time changed a lot, we dont feel much joy from them anymore while i feel very happy with older games
i cant believe people spend months and years building everything up in the other halos, and now… where is all of that…
service record, forge maps, file share screenshots and films and film clips

I hope they monetize forge so I feel better about uninstalling and can heal emotionally and mentally faster from Halo Infinite.
And I truly believe this forge is going to elevate Halo into a new age of gaming. It’s coming my fellow Spartan.
They’ll continue to release data-mineable flight builds ahead of the release of Forge, which they will release as a free function of the game.
Why?
It’s the best self-realizing marketing they’ve had in the lifespan of the game. The Forge leaks have given people/content creators things to talk about, thus generating noise about the game, thus increasing public awareness, thus potentially increasing player activity, so on and so forth.
Following the leaks, the mode will most likely release as a freely available tool. Some functions of the tool will allow Forgers to monetize their own fabs, according to the latest, but I’ll put cards down on Forge itself being completely free of charge.
They don’t have any wiggle room with this, especially not with so many scrutinizing eyes and scathing critics. They either have to release it for free or royally screw the pooch.
I really can’t see it happening any other way. They need to stop giving people things to complain about, and in Forge’s case, this is the way to do it.
Create some buzz, drop the mode, get brownie points. They can’t screw this up.
yeah it is fairly nuts. I guess it comes down to people either aren’t truly aware of the implications of this practice or they simply move on because they are of the here and now. There are plenty though of course that do and regarding Forge they treat it very seriously and that’s why such uncertainty over your work really isn’t acceptable
Hopefully this time it will be accessible offline and with an acceptable model but lets not hold our breath

Well, on reddit at least, there’s supposedly a Forge insider close to 343 that’s leaked confirmation that they don’t intend to monetize Forge.
https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/wbdz9a/according_to_a_343_forge_council_member_343_will/
IF this is true, then that’s great, that’s one less thing to worry about. But you all know just how horribly unreliable leaks are. If this is true, then 343 needs to put out a statement, just one statement saying explicitly that they will not monetize any aspects of Forge at any point in time.
The fact that they haven’t done so already is just mind boggling. It’s kind of stupid on their part since no confirmation either or can only lead to superstitions, conspiracy thinking, and paranoia, none of which is going to be good for their bottom line. And we all know how much 343 loves those dollar bills.

I mean, if it supports content creators and doesn’t just become yet another form of corporate cash crab. Maybe. At the very least, the fans creating awesome forge maps definitely deserve the majority of the money in this kind of situation.
They definitely should comment officially on whether or not Forge is monetized. Reducing fear factors ahead of further leaks can only be helpful to them… provided that whatever they have to say is good news.

I mean based on the leaks we’ve seen with the flight, I think that there are a lot of people that are hopeful for Forge. An official announcement would only help to build up the hype, something that Infinite definitely needs.

God I hope they monetize it haha. I want to see how ridiculously bad they can get.
indeed i hope so too, and that we will be able to play offline, i bought the game as a disc game but when playing and knowing everything, and realizing after a while that you cant do a lot and much is disabled when playing offline it feels more as a web browser game, i play most time campaign and custom but the fear all hard work when forge comes, might one day be…
as you indeed some people are not aware yet of what happened to the 360 games their functions, status service record etc, its very horrific to all people who spent so long to build everything and then not be able to do anything with it anymore, lets hope they will make the game offline playable with all our options one day, club penguin did it with their game
