I know this is fake:

But sadly, the climate that 343 has created for Halo Infinite makes it all to believable.
Many people are holding out hope that Forge will at least somewhat save Halo Infinite. But if 343 does attempt to monetize it, that would be a disaster. I see no way there can be a benefit from that.
343 needs to know that monetizing Forge would not be good for the game.
If 343 charges for FORGE!!! As god as my witness thousands of user’s will stop playing Infinite in a heart beat!! Encluding myself! There is no way in hell I would pay for FORGE!!!
I never paid for FORGE in pass Halo Games and I’ll be daamned if I am going to start now!!
Not in my lifetime PERIOD!!!
Peace!
UPDATE: Just watch a few video that “FORGE” maybe delayed. Really?? I hope that is not true.
oh no i had fears for this, i was afraid a month ago that people would have to pay for forge, but i didnt made a topic so not to give this bad idea to you know who, but it seems.,. so its believable we even will have to pay for items that are everytime coming to forge…
and that could sadly be the reason why it takes so long before forge is coming out, they have to know exact the right way to milk money again… not to make any mistake…
That is the fakest thing I’ve ever seen. I mean $10 dollars for non-campaign owners would be acceptable but it’s a one thing one time purchase. And free with campaign.
Just like making a “live service beta”, basing the beta around a shop/BP, and falsely advertised the beta prior to being released etc… All of what they done up to this point hasn’t been good for the beta, but guess what?
They did it anyway.
Given 343 actions I wouldn’t put it pass them seeing how taking advantage of the players base is what they have been more focused on.
Consider how much time the Devs are spending on CoOp and Forge. At least a year of post launch dev time; not counting what ever they did before launch.
Yes, part of that’s reputation/damage control. Yes, build it and they will come to the store. But I could see them doing it. If they want this to be a big feature.
However given how their UI means they actually can’t operate a normal store with more than five items it limits their ability to have a workshop. A theoretical forge mod store like in Fallout would need hundreds of items/mods/maps constantly available for purchase. Their store doesn’t seem set up to accommodate that and works on that cycling method. So maybe indicates they won’t be able to monetise the store or have no intention to?
not only do I think they will but they’ll also force it behind having to be online with it all the time meaning we’ll never with an absolute certainty know if our creations are safe. Shutting servers happens all the time
It will be a total waste of time then in this sense for those that enjoy their work many years after because there will always be a fear that we wont be able to access it
I could be very wrong of course because bizarrely Infinite does allow us to play bots offline which is so fliipin dumb when you can’t for Campaign but there’s that. I wont be holding my breath that 343 do right by the fans though which is a shame as outside of the BS I expect Forge will be very good
No … It would be like going to a hair salon and the person cutting your hair gives you 10 bucks to cut your hair. People using forge are making content for Halo, Halo is Microsoft/343, it’s a win win for 343. For Pete sake, this thought process is why they can get away with everything they are doing.
this also is the reason why a mass horde of people abandon online games, when they first arrived everyone was playing it, then when that happened to certain games, it was shocking and people of course went crazy having everything lost what they had built, they will never ever play such games again because if we play a game we build progress and our goal is not to build up things for years and enjoy, to finally get our hard work destroyed , ruined, lost amd everything in vain. im glad we still got our dlc and all emblems and armor at halo 4, and we must, we paid for those, but think of the people who spent months building maps, game modes, game clips, screenshots with file share.
the scary thing is indeed what you told, when my connection is one time not good nothing works… which means… i dont want to think about what the worst could happen after building everything, but its annoying that were limited so much when playing offline, we cannot even make a fun casual xbox account offline, online is required while we can make a fun account on xbox 360
As of right now, all players are led to assume that Forge has no price tag.
So if this suddenly changes a week or even a month before Forge launches, there will be huge player backlash… I think if Forge is going to cost players any extra amount of money, 343 needs to start doing PR damage control sooner rather than later.
Since companies would rather reply to Twitter more than their own emails, why doesn’t someone ask Unyshek via Twitter if Forge will come with any extra charges?
If they have ANY sense in their management, they will keep their grubby penny-pinching mitts off of Forge. It’s the very last thing they need to destroy, for the good of their game and for everyone’s sanity.
Makes you wonder if they’re just trying to do the opposite of what we ask them. Like, if we ask them all to NOT walk around naked in public, do you think they’d actually do it?
