Contrary to popular belief, I do not think 343 should add a battle royale into the game. It would be fun don’t get me wrong! But it just isn’t Halo, and wouldn’t feel like Halo to do so. The battle pass already reminds me of Fortnite too much… I’m just not sure if it makes sense in my opinion! What are your thoughts?

“Doesn’t feel like Halo” is a phrase that has been used for over a decade in regards to certain changes & inclusions in this franchise, I think experimentation is fine
if they add a Battle Royale I would at least hope it doesn’t take development priority over features such as Forge.

Agreed. If 343i do add a Battle Royale gamemode to Halo: Infinite, it should be at the very bottom of the list of priorities.

That’s true. I guess if we’re going to support a game we should also support its evolution and adaptation. It is a conversation to be had though. Forge is a must!!

If they do make a Battle Royale mode, they should make it USING Forge. Better yet, it could be a community-made mode.

No doubt it would boost the game. 343 isn’t Bungie but they are supposed to carry Bungie’s creation to good places. It’s not a question if they could do it, it’s a question of if they should do it! We will see.
Now that would be super cool to see! 
I don’t know, a ton of Spartans dropping from orbit in ODST pods on Zeta Halo and battling across the map with whatever vehicles and loot the find sounds incredibly Halo to me. Battle Royale doesn’t have to be a bad word, if done well it could be the best Battle Royale out there.

I came across a video that says Halo (the master chief series) does not need a Battle Royale, but instead make a stand alone game that is ENTIRELY separate from infinite and is ODST’s only that drop in, in drop pods.
I thought about it and I added that the circle that closes in is actually covenant cruisers that glass the out of bounds area for added immersion.
Let it be it’s own spin off and not tied to infinite, if it becomes popular let it… if it dies, also let it.

If they end up doing something like this and it plays well then my thoughts might change. However, if it turns out like COD’s Warzone then it just taints the game completely. All opinions here but I like what @RAREmuffin23 said about making the Royale a separate game entirely. Regardless I love Halo Infinite!

Agreed! Experimentation is encouraged but throwing a massive Battle Royale into Infinite could potentially smother the game out.

in all honesty while i am opposed to a halo br it would bring some much-needed diversity to the game, bc slayer, ctf, oddball and strongholds is not enough to sustain this game for much longer

It really would depend on which modes they put in. The classic Last Man Standing just wouldn’t make much sense to me. The whole shrinking battlefield with PickUps (maybe even Spartan Cores for upgrades like in campaign) and one team playing Spartans and the other Banished Elites might play nicely.
But I agree with what many of you said already: it should not be a priority, given all the other things missing. Also the game has issues with 24 people in BTB already. I don’t see how that would work out with the 100+ players you typically see in BR games.
All in all - if they’re working on a BR mode, then it would likely already be in development for quite some time. In that case it’s best if they finish and publish it, rather than have all the effort go to waste. Personally I don’t mind if they do something like Warzone, Firefight or a BR. Just some more large scale modes would be nice. Right now I’d be pretty happy with working BTB and one/two new maps for it.

Not only the battle pass but all the different skins for purchase and some of them are just ridiculous not halo lore/cannon at all like.the cat ears!! Whats that about?! There just making a mockery of halo!

Hopefully they don’t. I think if they pulled this stunt it may well be the final nail to the population. BR should stick to forge and nothing else.
I’ve already had enough of the predatory system that plagues a lot of BR games. Forcing BR so it’s the main focus of the game would one of the worst things 343i could do but based on how 343i have been acting lately I wouldn’t be surprised if they did.
