It’s incredibly frustrating as somebody that called the situation weeks ago… and here we are. Stealth drop on the System and Controller… and even though I was sitting on the page before it was even pre-orderable… I have nothing but wasted time to show for it.
At the very least it would be nice to see MS take the approach of Valve, and just let people pre-order it. And have a rolling release window. I have no problems waiting months as long as I can just buy the product.
Any communication from 343 or MS would be highly appreciated. Requiring to follow twitter for tips to try and get a leg up on scalpers is incredibly tiring. Something needs to be done about it.
Here I am, just a long time Halo fan… why is it so dang hard to just be able to enjoy the IP and be able to hand over money and get the console and controller…

I still can’t get my hands on a series X. The special edition will be almost impossible to get. Kinda weird considering it’s Microsoft…big money to be made and customers like us can’t throw money at them if we wanted to.
In my opinion, I think Microsoft should’ve put a good supply on the Xbox One store where you can in fact buy or wish list a Series X/S. It even says 1 per customer. Now most likely people will try to resell this new console at crazy prices just like the PS5 before the holidays too.
I already have a series X, so I wasn’t too disappointed when I realized they had already sold out. But I get y’all’s frustration. The fact that the controller also sold out instantly surprised and irritated me though. Because that thing comes with in game content.

Yeah I want that controller way too much. They need to have a standard release of it IMO.
