343 didn't make Halo. They inherited it

Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3

These are the games that are widely considered to be the definitive Halo games. The “Original Trilogy.” The games the started it all. The games that made us love halo.

The games that are Halo.

These were the games created by Bungie, and Bungie created a set formula for these three games, and they each stayed true to the formula. Though each game added new features to evolve the game, but not change it completely.

The original three made Halo, this was the beginning, and this is where Halo was born, these games ARE Halo.

Then, 343 came along.

They started to change the game, made it different. The game drifted away from the set formula that made Halo what it is.

They DID change Halo from what it was into Halo 4 and 5.

I will admit, I have fun playing Halo 4 and Halo 5, but that doesn’t mean they are Halo. They are ENTIRELY different from Halo CE, 2, and 3.

343 made a game become something it wasn’t supposed to be.

343 changed a game they didn’t make.

They seem to always forget, but…

343 didn’t make halo.

They inherited Halo.

They didn’t make the groundbreaking Halos that came before theirs,

They didn’t make the games that determined what Halo is.

They were given a game with a set formula, and they changed it into something it wasn’t

343 RUINED Halo.

Argue if you want down here, I honestly don’t care anymore. Take this down if you want 343. But just know that you didn’t make the games I loved.

You didn’t make Halo

You INHERITED THIS FRANCHISE

YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE GAME WE ALL LOVED

Um, last I checked, whoever owns a franchise has the right to do whatever the hell they want to it.
And, last time I checked, 343 Industries owns the Halo franchise.
I honestly don’t see what you’re trying to argue here. Okay, yes, 343 did not create the original Halos. So?
Also, CE, 2, and 3 played fairly differently from each other. The changes between 2 and 3 were a bit less significant, but they still worked differently.

PS: I came late to the franchise, and Halo 4 was what made me love Halo. At least, the campaign did. The multiplayer should not be mentioned.

You’re gonna get some nasty responses, but at the end of day, you have a point and are right.

Not sure what you’re talking about. They completely have the right to be foolish.

i feel like I’ve seen this type of thread a billion times and i post the same comment(I agree)

This post is ridiculous, and so are you. For a person who doesn’t care anymore you sure do take a lot of time to talk about how much you don’t care.

343 didn’t make the original Halos, and that’s the problem. They never started the game, so they can’t change the set formula Bungie made.

It’s like how if Nintendo handed the Mario franchise over to another company. That company can’t just change everything that made Mario Mario. They can’t make the franchise into a completely different game. That’s what 343 is doing, they took an already loved and established game and are changing completely. Games like Halo 3 and 2 differed from each other, but they still played the same, Halo 3 just added on more to Halo 2.

I don’t see why 343 can’t change the formula that Bungie made. Hell, Bungie even changed it themselves with Halo Reach.

Wrong. All you had to do in Reach was turn off armour abilities and bam you have classic halo (obviously with difference in terms of weapons). No matter what you do with Halo 5 that can’t happen due to stretched out maps designed to accomodate sprint, the horrid aiming system, bullet magnetism.

Just wait people will come in with the stupid argument of “it says halo on the box” possibly one of the worst arguments. By that logic the game could litterally be dark souls… or for all I know elder scrolls arena and people would still call it halo because it says so on the box.

I’m not looking for an argument or anything. just want to point out that Microsoft owns the Halo franchise. 343 is a studio owned and funded by Microsoft, but Microsoft’s name is on that piece of paper. Glad to see someone else who liked 4’s campaign.

These post are pointless and don’t do anything. They don’t change a thing and sound like more of “hate 343” bandwagon rather than constructive post. What would you do?

Who made Reach?

Who defines what is “halo”?

What was the “set formula” that Bungie never ever changed?

“They didn’t make it, they inherited it, and are the new owners but they aren’t allowed to change it because I said so”

Your post in a nutshell.

343 can do whatever they want with the game. Their main focus is clearly not “make Halo 3 but renamed Halo 4/5/6”, but to make games that people will continue buying and enjoying, and profit. If they are seeing a good amount of profit being made, then it is most likely not going to be changing very much. Halo 4 was more or less an experiment, 343 wanted to change the gameplay, and received a lot of backlash, they did make a lot of profit, but they lost a lot of profit in the long run. Halo 5 however, made a fair amount of profit, because the game was good, and the micro-transactions really are for the lazy and less skilled.

Halo 4 and Halo 5 are Halo. They are just different from the original trilogy. It’s kinda of like saying the newer CODs are not COD, because they took a different direction.

I love how you convienently left out reach and how that started the change and Halo 4 just built on what reach did. But you know its all 343’s fault.

Cringe worthy post. Settle petal.

I love how Halo Reach was taken completely out of the equation in all this ranting.

  • Not part of the trilogy
  • Made by Bungie
  • Changed the “set formula” into something it’s not. It’s almost hilarious watching this. I should make popcorn while he continues to ignore.

Yeah, and people hated it.
and you know how 343 responded with the negative responses from Reach? They threw in all the bad stuff from reach into their own game and put in perks, and somehow expected someone to actually like it.
Bungie may have started the downhill, but 343 could’ve easily turned everything around with 4, but instead they wanted to make a CoD game.
