Im SERIOUSLY enjoying the first couple days of season 2. I wanted to get on the forrums and see if there was other people enjoying it but its the same level of toxic “feedback” that ive gotten use to seeing over the last month or so.
Season 1 was a very very very bad start for the game for almost too many reasons to list. But youre way too salty about season 1 or something if you can honestly say that season 2 isnt a GREAT step in the right direction.
Is infinite a classic halo tier game yet? No, absoultely not. But if 343 can get some momentum going from this point on then the future is looking very bright. Idk about you guys but tons of the new changes were unexpected and pleasant surprises. Awesome new FFA playlist, kill effect sounds, new armor looks like real halo armor, the battle pass was VASTLY improved compared to season one’s and idk im seriously enjoying halo as of now compared to how i felt during most of season 1.
Desync still sucks, and comp needs some changes. (Diamonds should not be in games with golds or lower). But idk, they clearly worked very hard on this and im sure a little appreciation goes a long way.
Im not downplaying any criticisms either, as a long time halo fan i totally get where you guys are coming from. But the community as a whole needs to kinda step back and chill out a bit lol. At least TRY to voice concerns or problems in a respectful way and not just spewing angry comments on forums or their instagram.
Not sure how much attention this will get but please be nice in any response, im just having a great time in halo after months and months of not doing that. Just wanted to share at least a little bit of positivity and be happy about halo, hope you spartans are enjoying it as much as i am or at least a little bit!

Depends on what nice means to you. Theres still plenty wrong. Theres good that has come with season two but trying to be blindly ignorant to real and valid criticisms of the game that still exists is not beneficial to anyone.

Did you read the whole thing? I literally acknowledged criticisms, I said theres too many to list and that i also am not downplaying the valid criticisms that people make.
And mean as in people getting mad at me that im not mad at 343 lol, i definitely was/kinda still am but im happy with halo rn

Everything 343 is getting, all the hate, all the negativity and all the frustration directed at them is entirely the fact that they refuse to give us what we had before.
Never have I seen a video game franchise not capitalize on its successes and reimplementing what works into their titles over simply throwing things out in favor of experimental new things. This is akin to trying to find a new way to start a fire everytime you cook.
Surely people can see how CRAZY this sort of developmental process is.

Yeah i hear ya but i also dont think theyre out right refusing to give us stuff. Seems like theyre working on a lot, it takes time and that really sucks. Especially when its stuff that shouldve been in the game on day 1 but idk man, just gunna enjoy it when i can

I would like to… theres a couple of matches that aren’t stupid laggy and those have been fun. The lag/desync just overpowers the vast majority of my matches

343 as a studio should be focusing on delivering firstly what the fans are proven to like, then you can add other stuff afterwards.

The issue is that there’s nothing to give them credit for until they start providing more than what is standard. So far, they’re miles under the standard.

My friends decided to play infinite today. Admittedly I didn’t have much intent to play but if they were having fun I might as well reinstall to have some fun with them.
…every single one that reinstalled to play uninstalled while I was having lunch.

I agree, 343 already already knows nobody likes them. I prefer the forums be used for constructive criticism, new ideas foe game modes, balancing etc… I knew that this season wasn’t going to fix as much as I liked. With my low expectations I’m having a blast with this update. I like that the battle pass gives you a full refund If you complete it, as a failed attempt to gain some good-will. I don’t like that passes expire, In season 3 they can’t continue to give back 2’000 CR they are still a business that needs to make a reasonable amount money. I’m not having de-sync issues, but for people who waited 6 painstaking months for the game to be worse than launch you have my condolences.

Don’t forget to hate Microsoft too. Microsoft hoard (hoard used in place of another word) out infinite to Rockstar, Hot pockets, Pringles ect and pre-monatized the game BEFORE it even came out because they see it as a product. They also have their boot on 343’s neck forcing them to implement predatory features and cost saving measures, eg firing experienced after 2 years staff and out-sourcing to save money.

What platform are you playing on? I have a full modern AMD pc and am not having issues but I hear a lot of people are.
Gonna have to disagree with you here. All I think MS did was tell 343 to put out a game. This development presumably started prior to Halo 5 release so they had 7 years to put a game out. Its 343s bad management that gave us this turd.
If it were MS coming in and forcing those directives, you’d see them in every game they release and you just don’t. Sure other games have micro transactions, but not to the scummy extent of what Infinites are.
