Is anyone else incensed at insane amount of absolutely hideous armors exist in the multiplayer modes?
I’m more apalled by how shockingly badly said armors are organized. Seriously, if they had just went with the Halo Reach style of Helmet>Helmet Design>Helmet Upgrades(Or in this case, paintschemes), it would have solved so much headache.
That said, they did not do the worst job when it came to replicating older armors. Main drawback was THE COLORED UNDERSUIT. YOU KNOW, THE COLORED UNDERSUIT FANS HAVE BEEN HATING ON SINCE FOUR.
Please, for the love of Halo, do not give us coffee maker helmets again.

Yes. I have no idea how designs like Nomad, Recluse, Seeker, Venture, Vector, etc. etc. could have been approved by anybody at 343. Who looked at those and said they look cool and good? It blows my mind. And don’t even get me started on the white paint. I want 343 to realize that the quality of the cosmetics does affect people’s enjoyment of the game, even if they don’t affect gameplay. Aesthetics matter.

With the way that the REQ system works in Halo 5, I’d be willing to bet it was less “this looks good” and more “this looks good enough”. Imagine how ugly any unused concepts must’ve been for Seeker to pass.

Yeah, that’s another reason why I kind of hate the req system.
If I were in charge of armor design, I would ask myself “would I proudly wear this into Slayer” before approving anything. That’s all I’m going to say.
i cant stand majority of armors in halo 5 or 4
Let us hope halo 6 fixes this.
Halo Reach armor system: The Best
I hope in Halo 6 they make armor unlockable not through microtransaction. Maybe add achievement/objective unlockable armor!
I don’t think it should be a luck based system it should be more of an opinional credit based system

Exactly!
While I do like a fair few of the new armor sets I agree that in general they should return to the old art style for Halo 6. Also agree with PetruzziAnthony that they should let you buy customization items with credits directly, although I wouldn’t mind also having a REQ-like system to supplement it for more options to the player.
343 could also use a reminder that:
- Splitscreen > 60 FPS. (XB1 can’t even handle Halo 5 at 60 FPS for more than an hour, I have a PC and I can tell the difference.) - Hiring people who hate Halo will not make a good Halo title. (Frank O’ Connor said “we specifically hired people who hated Halo.”) - Spartans aren’t Power Rangers. - Adding in content that should have been in the base game at launch is not “new free content.” (Big Team Battle, Forge, Oddball, etc.) - Copying a map and adding snow effects does not make it a “new” map in any sense. Same goes with armor. If you copy a helmet several times and give it a new coat of spray paint over and over, it’s still not “new.” - From 2001 to 2011 Halo had a reoccurring gameplay formula that all the games followed, which is why they became so popular and drew in such a large audience. Halo was unique, now it’s not. (No sprint, no ADS, no gimmicky abilities, etc.) - Nobody likes the current REQ system. Sorry, Frank. - The Forerunners have been extinct for a very long time - there’s no reason all of their structures should look like spotless, chrome, and Tron-esque. Forerunner architecture is meant to look worn, non maintained, and mysterious. - Classic Halo Covenant > Halo 4 + 5 Covenant. Bring back the long beaked Jackal, non cross-eyed Grunts, and Elites that don’t stomp around like Brutes and have actual mandibles.
I am shocked that some people actually equip all this crappy armor. I stuck with master chief mark VI armor and helmet until I found armor I liked ( my current armor). I switch between like three other chest pieces and helmets but I would say about 360 or so of the armor designs are actual garbage.
I would be happy to use the points to buy pieces of armor individually like in Halo Reach. As well has get some armor though hard challenges like in Halo 3.
