“What the hell are you talking about OP?” Is probably what your saying right now but after having gotten off the hype train for infection I now sit here at the station waiting wondering, “Are they going to screw this up?” here is what I mean.

343 might not add a playlist. As stupid as that may sound we all saw what happened with assault, it go put into the game and didn’t even receive it’s own playlist so it’s possible the same thing could happen here.

At this point, many are at ease knowing that the call for infection was answered by 343i. Its good to be hyped about it, however you gave valid points, nothings set in stone.
Lets wait until its a little closer to release, or after we played it before we freak out too much
Infection should be an upcoming weekend playlist, like what is being done with the war zone firefight beta, so the community can try it and give their feedback.
I’d rather hope it’ll work out rather than stress that it won’t. I don’t care for infection to begin with so I don’t care what they do with it really. I understand other players like the gametype though so hopefully 343 can satisfy them.
Fyi OP: it’s probably a good thing assualt doesn’t have its own playlist being how unpopular it is in h5. If it were h2 or h3 assualt sure, but h5 is different.

Lol, we’re playing the same Halo 5, right? Nobody is ‘freaking out’ or being ‘negative’ these are completely valid concerns based on prior experiences with other features recently added to the game.
People aren’t expecting the worst, they’re expecting what usually happens. All this over-updating comes with a small price in the end. Every time we ‘wait’ for something without being given all the details:
- It’s missing vital features
- It starts out with very little support in matchmaking
- It (may) have minor bugs
…And most importantly:
- It ends up needing fixes later anyway.
So umn… they just go right back under the knife regardless and all that waiting was for nothing… Forge and Grifball come to mind.
I’m just saying if they want us to be optimistic about waiting for features so much, the features need to come out fully supported. Right now all I can think of is how much feedback Infection is missing out on, and the game is on life support without it, as is.

Still not a single reason for me to worry until it arrives. Worrying about it before I can even play it does nothing. We can’t really put criticism on something we have yet to see or play, all the worries are nothing but speculation.
Assault isn’t special enough to get its own Playlist. Grifball got its own Playlist. I figured they would put it in the weekly social every now and then but after seeing grifball get its own Playlist they might switch out between grifball and infection every now and then.
Also they have been pretty good with customizing what’s there in Forge. We have so many options for ball based game modes now
Well they didn’t bother to make unique models for infected players like they did in Halo 4 and Halo 2 anniversary, its already looking half-hearted like the mess they call “assault” and oddball. No bomb model, no bomb announcer callout, no explosions, no skull or even the Halo 4 Promethean skull for the ball… They’re winging it, not putting forth their full effort.

I interpreted it as ‘please don’t forget to do your best’.
I mean, I’d like to say “well why the hell wouldn’t they have these if they were in the previous games”, but we’ve got a new precedent at this point, don’t we?

never said I was disappointed, I’m just stating concerns that I have for the gamemode.

What? did you see what they did with assault? 343 may not have everything at launch, the campaign may not have been what we all hoped for. But when 343 does add something to the game, they do a lot with it to make it great. With assault we can have Oddball, Grifball, Assault, Multibomb assault, that one from halo 4, ect. We didn’t get just one gametype, we got a bunch by them dropping one
Folks this isn’t going to be the old infection, if you want the old one dust off that 360. I was not a fan of it, but am willing to try the updated version.
The games official public Infection in past games is ridiculously overrated and boring. Honestly it couldn’t be much worse so it’s likely to be better based on that logic. Community custom infection was where the fun was in the past halos, that’s just my opinion.

I hope they add community gamemodes and maps like MCC for the Infection playlist.

I don’t know about that, but then again 343 hasn’t done a good job with the previous DLCs.
