Help me please! I was told by Microsoft to contact 343 Industries about my issue. I preordered the collector edition Halo 5, and after opening it I noticed there was no game disc, just a digital download code. I gave my code to Microsoft and they sent me a game disc, but the Warzone req bundle and Animated Series was not included with the game they sent me. This is my problem, please help!
343, can you give me a code that will give me the req bundle and Animated Series I originally purchased please.
According to GameStop and other vendors, the Halo 5 collector’s edition does not contain a game disk. It contained a digital download code for the full game, as well as limited edition content. Sounds like you traded in the code that contained all that digital stuff for a standard copy of the game (with none of the extra digital stuff).
That’s exactly what happened. I don’t understand how Microsoft could do that, and is now telling me that they can’t get me those codes. It’s all pretty confusing! Isn’t 343 owned by Microsoft?
Yes, 343i is a subsidiary of Microsoft. But you traded in your code of your own volition, albeit due to minor ignorance. Once you got rid of that code, you had forfeited whatever content was in it. I don’t think Microsoft or 343i legally is obliged to grant you the things you gave up. Could be wrong, though. If nothing else, take this as a lesson learned and research your purchases before making drastic decisions.
Ok? It wasn’t drastic. I was assured by Microsoft all that would happen is I would get a disc for my digital download. I was not suppose to lose anything. That doesn’t make sense! Also, why does anything legal have to come up? I’ve been a loyal Halo gamer, and fan of the franchise since the Original XBox. Hopefully 343 would want to just help me out. There was obviously miscommunication between the Microsoft representative and myself, because if I would have been told that I would lose those downloads I never would have done it.
If nothing can be done then please let me know, but I have faith this can be resolved. I know this probably isn’t a top priority issue for 343.

Why did you give up the code? You shouldn’t have. Sounds slightly like it was your fault.

I don’t know if anything can be done, but I doubt it. And when I said drastic, I meant your decision to give up the code before attempting to use it, or reading about what came in the Collector’s Edition. It does sound like you experienced confusion in what the Microsoft rep told you (getting your disk for the digital download would only refer to the game, as the Warzone Bundle and the animated shorts don’t come on disks). As to whether you can convince Microsoft customer service that your original problem wasn’t solved by their solution, I don’t know.

I was mislead by Microsoft to understand that all I was doing was getting a disc. They said nothing else would change. When in fact I did lose the Warzone Req, and Animated Series.
I’m not trying to point blame at anyone, I just want to know if I can have those 2 codes restored. This isn’t a -Yoink!- contest. I’m just asking for help from 343 to resolve this issue.
Hopefully someone from 343 will see this and let me know if anything can be done. Thank you all for looking at my post.
