343 confirms desync fixes are not currently being worked on

I very much agree. Creative Assembly to be fair offered two excellent maps and a refreshing game mode. They should have full control. 343 is diminishing anyway.

Yes. Yes it did already miss the bus. They will figure that out eventually though, we just gotta hope for halo infinite being solid by 2025 at this rate.

Just more proof that 343 is one of the worst managed companies in all of gaming.

Sometimes a problem may stem from multiple sources & require other areas to be worked on to find/solve the issue.
Its pretty obvious one of the reasons is the way the engine handles physics combined with different platforms thrown into the mix.
The level that that code is at to fix is prolly so hard baked into the engine that any changes could have multiple knock on effects that could entirely break the game.

Either way the game is already broken and not fun to play due to desync :face_exhaling:

In the Season 2 Livestream they mentioned having a new transparent active roadmap here on Waypoint where they would be showing what they were working on and the percent of that project that was complete. I think this community would be more reassured and less confused if they could get this up and running. Although, I’m pretty sure Jerry Hook said this, so I’m not to sure if it’s credible anymore.

I really hope that’s the case, you’d think with all of the people at Microsoft’s disposal they must have some networking experts that could fix things for 343.
