On the roadmap both Network co-op and Mission Replay are tied around Late August, so I wouldn’t be surprised if both drop at the same time.
Bob - Tilly - Carina & Joey!
Who else!
But more seriously - halo fans are everywhere.
Nail on the head. All the shine has come off of Infinite, just about everyone who was going to return for coop has either lost interest, or already broken down and played through the lackluster OW campaign.
Ah, that’s a good catch.
Just wow. This is really -Yoink!- me off. 343 can’t create a functioning game and continue to fail over and over. We need the bugs fixed before ANYTHING else. Crazy bro, 343 is lowkey a failure. I’ll give them credit for bringing MCC to PC and creating H5 but they really have been failing.
Shocking but honestly not surprising.
I’ve been pretty critical of Halo Infinite and whilst it might sound like it I’m not saying this just to be harsh but I am honestly struggling to think of something that 343 have genuinely done well without screwing up.
This tweet from a former 343 employee explained a bit more about this issue.

Same also in cali with damn near perfect internet, yet the game puts me in European servers or east coast…
The Community and Competitive Insights teams have done an amazing job at letting us know how frustrating these kinds of situations are. It is high on our priority of fixes.
So high a priority that no-one is doing anything about it…
It should be priority number uno in a f#&@ing online multiplayer game online only games live or die based on connection quality
I just wanna know what is higher priority than desync hahahaha

I am, and a few of my friend are waiting on coop too. I’ve played through all halo campaigns with my partner first and I don’t particularly want to be forced to play single player because the devs can’t pull their crap together. I’ll wait. I do’nt feel like spending 60$ on an incomplete game anyway. When they fix stuff, I’ll buy it.
But I can’t say many other people have this kind of patience with it. I’m sure the lack of expected content has turned many people away for good. It’s a shame, but, what are you gonna do?
If someone attempts to run Forza Horizion 4 at ultra graphics on their Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti 4600 is it bad software or bad hardware that causes their game to get -1 fps? It’s bad hardware - the physical component does not have the compute power necessary to draw the render to the screen.
But I hear you barking big dog - net code is an entirely different topic than graphics. Which you’re technically right Socket programming is entirely different than graphics programming but within the context of hardware overload networking is more of a PIA to tackle. Net code doesn’t only involve 343s infrastructure, it involves the ISPs and the router/modem of the Player. Why is this important? Because ISP infrastructure is outside of 343s control - its not 343’s fault if the Player’s ISP is experiencing heavy loads which negatively effects the game. Same idea with the router/modem - it’s not 343s fault if the Player’s household is all streaming 4k on separate devices. Additionally some routers are geared towards low latency gaming and run some pretty neat algorithms to try and reduce bufferbloat.
The point is there are a lot of steps in between a Player’s PC and the server which are effectively unrelated to 343’s software.
Yes and no respectively. Hardware HAS improved and in turn so has the limits of whats possible. AAA games typically look to push the limits of hardware. Thus as better hardware is released games become more resource demanding and older hardware becomes worse relative to the performance demands.
Agreed.
If their fragile UI is any indicator of their software engineering ability then they’re doing a lot of things wrong software related. I’m not ruling out their net code stinks to high heaven. I’m pointing out their supporting infrastructure may not be up snuff and coordinating with ISPs like Riot Games did may not be something they’re willing to do.
Priority 0
This is meaningless sentence birthed into existence to satiate the 20 character minimum. Please disregard and carry on with your day ![]()
This is just telling me that since 343 staff aren’t working on it, perhaps Microsoft is about to commission another contract with a third-party company; possibly one that specializes in networking and server development in order to ACTUALLY get the job done.
That is, of course, if 343 is even communicating with Microsoft or if they just fly and land their planes without contacting air traffic control on the regular.
Bold of you to assume they have 2 monitors
It is priority 1, but the problem is that priority 1 is their top priority.
dude theres nothing wrong with the melee everything works fine
Bottom of the barrel quality game. It deserves to fail. Needs to fail and frankly has managed me to hate Halo. It’s truly impressive. I don’t even play MCC because I’m reminded of the pathetic tenure of this franchise.
Fans deserve better. Halo deserves better. The fact 343 continues to not address core issues and even has a collection still be broken after 8 years highlights they don’t care. I’m tired of this company. I don’t even care if I’m banned here for voicing the obvious incompetence in full display. I never wanted a franchise to fail so badly just so Halo isn’t in control by a soulless studio and corporation.
I hope Microstoft reallocates resources to Creative Assembly. They have a working engine hopefully they can give a better not necessarily a great experience. The best I hope for is lots of QOL improvements and I am bracing for much monetization schemes as then can cram in.
