They said the latest update will be going through certification this week. At this point it’s in the hands of Xbox Live, and my guess it will go live tomorrow. I feel 343i has communicated decently for their part of the process by giving us a heads up about the week of the 14th.

But we really dont know that. Were in the assumption that its in certification. The request is a permanent post that truly gives us proper details here, not on reddit, of where it truly currently stands.

Actually I did read it and did understand what you outlined.
Sorry, but if you want a play by play - you’re not going to get it. A heads up that this week it will be coming out is a fair give of information. Especially after an early release of patch notes, balance notes, and a live-stream of the new leader. Generally the updates happen on Wednesday. So based on that I would say it’s safe to assume that it’s either going to happen tomorrow or sometime this week as it has previously been stated that it is planned to come out this week.
I think the danger of presenting a date that may not be kept for whatever reason is probably too much to deal with, as opposed to saying “ASAP.”

I do agree that regular updates would be awesome, but there are probably reasons as to why we don’t see them.
I asked if it would be today in grimms post yesterday, I was ignored so I knew it would not be today. Info is nice though, you know I have bought every halo game.

Because they don’t want to be held responsible if something is late or otherwise delayed? Now, it seems more like they are behaving like children about it. ‘It’s not my fault, Tucker did it’ is the way they seem to be handling it. I can’t say I blame them, but come on guys. What OP is asking isn’t too terribly much. He has a point in saying that they should have a better idea of when their own content is releasing. I mean, I don’t know how other dlc releases have gone for other companies, but when they give you a date it’s usually set in stone unless something goes wrong, in which case, you get probably a week’s notice of the issue at hand say I mg there’ll be a delay. This is just one of the many problems this game has that only happen with this game. I mean, sure, a little leniency can, and from me has, been given, but that can only go so far before the issues become more and more apparent.

As far as I know unless it says 343 industries under the mods name then they don’t work for 343 so they wouldn’t know when things are happening

Information is given, faster and more elaborate than ever before, and people are still yelling for more and in an even more frequent fashion. For 343 not sharing boatloads of information with dates attached - you can thank those who burned 343 at the stake from Colonies delayed release because of a game breaking bug. So you get the “we are targeting the week of blah” that has been used since that launch. There is no need to update every second of what is happening with the builds or where they are in terms of getting ready to release until they are ready to be released. Ske7tch said it should be out this week. So it most likely will be out this week. I get people wanting to plan their lives around a release because I too play games a lot and like them - but it’s most definitely not a need.

Theres only two stages of prerelease we as a community are concerned of, and its far from boatloads of information, nor is it every second. And communication has improved in what fasion? Why is it posted on reddit instead of here? Why is it so hard for it to be posted on both? The nonsense surrounding colony was based on the same lack of communication we are getting now.
Incase you havent noticed, this game is slowly dwindling in playerbase. And a large majority of it is due to improper balancing methods along with a lack of proper communication that no other game is on par with.

I just don’t understand those who attack people like us who just want more communication.
Why is more communication bad? How can any sane person think the current lack of communication is fine?
We’re NOT hating on the game. We DON’T want the game to die. We want to see it succeed and grow, but poor communication is hindering that.
