Armor lock was the 2nd worst thing ever added to Halo. The shield that they have in Infinite is perfect IMO.

In the demo I saw lots of stuff. Warthogs, guns and lasers, wildlife, John Oliver, retractable claws, talking emojis, sprinting…oh snap I said #1
But I don’t see no estinking shield, armour lock, bubble shields or that hardlight 4 thing, or even a jackal shield
I guess there’s always the possibility that armor lock comes back as equipment, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. The halo community is pretty split on, well, everything but armor lock is one of those things that the vast majority agree was a bad decision.

Oh I totally agree. For “competitive” matchmaking it was poop. But for casual gameplay, stuff like armour lock, hardlight shield, bubble shield, brought some memorable moments

Armor lock killed the pace of Halo Reach anf made objective games unbearable.
The Hardlight Shield didnt seem to have many practical applications compared to other armor abilities.
It seems armor abilities are gone and replaced with equipment anyhow. The shield like ability we saw in the campaign reveal and the multiplayer reveal seems to be the closest available option for defense-orientated Spartans.

You can see it clearly after the gravity hammer part and after the Oddball skull was showcased. Its pretty obvious given its made up of square panels. I frankly dont know how you could miss it of all things.
Theres a piece of equipment in infinite that is a drop shield kind of like the bubbleshield from h3. Did you not watch any of the new trailers or the gameplay reveal from the campaign last year? its in all of them.
