okay so before I start, I just want to say I dont want to sound mean, but does anyone agree that people should stop posting loads of thread suggesting stuff like Vehicles,Enemys,Difficulties, basicly stuff that cannot be changed after the game is out.
no offence to anyone but when you buy the game, if you dont like it, take it back, I think it looks amazing, there will obviously be glicthes (if challenges return, disconnect from xbox live and re-connect) but they can fix stuff like that, but they cant add entirely new vehicles and enemys.
Thanks

Seconded, motion passed, next order of business Is the midnight launch dinner menu… I vote new game fuel and taco’s
‘Those people’ are discussing Halo and what they’d like in Halo 4. If they didn’t discuss that, then discussion here would be a lot more limited. People like to discuss ideas that could possibly make it into the game.
Agreed, 343 has the right to make it their game too. They have the right to try out their ideas.343 is making this game for us, and they are listening but they can’t take all of our suggestions. And they most certainly shouldn’t throw out theirs to make a few people satisfied. Specially since those complaining have no idea how the game plays, or how everything works. They have yet to try it and are just complaining because the way they imagine it is bad, but they could be wrong they don’t know. It could be completely different entirely!

So is that a no as far as taco’s?

Well yes, but I think he’s talking about the one’s complaining mostly.
To be fair, I think people are worried about the rest of Halo as a series. With Halo4 looking pretty grim at the moment, people are complaining to try and ensure that 343 make Halo5 how THEY want it.
I for one am worried. I want H2 or H3 gameplay back or at least something in-between. Yes the game cannot be changed but I refuse to watch Halo die from the sidelines. If this game flops then Halo is over.

Yes, pretty much, I like new ideas but all the complaints even know the game looks awesome

Positive and negative feedback is great for 343i to perfect their game, as it helps them know what they’re doing right and what they’re doing wrong.
I have no doubt Promethean vision will be ‘nerfed’ before the final release of the game because of the feedback on these forums and the feedback from people who played the E3 demo.
That’s why it is good.

Than they can do that once Halo 4 has come out! There would be plenty of time for 343 to hear their crys and make the game the fans want (Halo 5). However now when 343 wants to try their ideas to see if they work. The fans are complaining without even have trying it. It’s just making the game worse by pressuring 343 like this.

Wasn’t something about that said in the Bravo video?

Yes feedback is good. However most complaining have NO IDEA how they work. They just assume and bash 343 because it sounds not good. So while feedback is good, when you have no idea how something works your feedback is worthless because you don’t know what your talking about. Because it your feedback you assume it works this way or that, but you could be wrong. So if they listen you may actually help 343 in making the game worse because they listened to you when you didn’t know what you were talking about.

That is an unfortunate reality of the Halo fanbase.
When you have multiple good games in a franchise that play different to each other over a generation, you tend to get conflict over which style was better.
Title Updates are a pretty effective way to change a game.

I used to think like that. But the longer I sated on the forums the more I learnt about game design this video was the final nail in the coffin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5ItTXmzjqo&feature=youtu.be It can’t work, I just can never work as well as Halo 3 or Halo 2.
Halo 4 is the start of a new trilogy. 343 will not change the gameplay from Halo 4 to 5 or from Halo 5 to 6. We are stuck with AA, -Yoink- map design and gameplay which can never be fully balanced.
And yes, you could argue that I haven’t physically played H4 but then H4 follows the basic principles as Reach and Reach just did not work as well as the other games. Once again you could argue that H4 has/will solve many of Reach’s flaws well…it can’t. Reach’s flaws were the AA and their side-effects. 343 refuses to remove AA and so H4 will be more like Reach than any other Halo game.
