I love Halo.
I’ve beaten all of them Legendary alone minus Halo Wars.
I’ve put 100s of hours into the multiplayer even before I purchased live.
But Halo 4 is not Halo. I don’t care if it says Halo on the box. It’s too different, too far from its original core gameplay.
Attempting to make the game easier and more fun for new players to join sounds great. “Let’s add sprint”, “Let’s add support streaks”, “Let’s add kill cams”, “Let’s add classes”. The only thing missing was “Let’s ruin Halo”.
I thought you could fix it. I thought Team Throwdown would be great but playing KOTH BRs on Lockout with less than 1000 people isn’t enough to save it. If you think Ranks are gonna save this game a month after you only have 35k people online and dropping then you’re crazy.
Oh yeah and more people are playing MW3, 70k, and on the original Black Ops, 40k than Microsoft’s token game.
So 343, was it worth losing a majority of your fan base just to sell more copies?
Its like you got rid of everything that made it halo, I thought you could have learned from the few flaws in reach.

I honestly don’t see how this affects game play. Halo didn’t innovate this, but the very fact it looks like CoD angering you is just nitpicking. Besides, no one cycles through players during games unless they’re your friends, the kill cam is good to learn to strategies from others, helps you predict where your opponent is so you can claim revenge, and really drives you to humiliate the opponent.

He did seem in remarkably good shape for a horrific bike crash.
I never thought that the emotion that Ms. Braxton felt when crying in the shower could be matched until I when to this forum…
Op, in this end this is your opinion and i respect that.
I, like you, have played this series for 12 years now. I’ve played and beat ALL of the Halo games on Legendary, I’ve put months of time into Multiplayer, and I’ve read just about all of the books.
I still think this is Halo. This so called forbidden changed occurred when us fans wanted the game more like the actual story of Halo. We wanted to see the Spartans actually doing what Spartans do. Sprinting, Jumping high, using the camo they once stole from Shanghelli. However, to incorporate all of this into the game the Genre changes from pure Arena shooter to a Hybrid. Arena/modern.
How dare they you say? No… i have to vouch for them. I have played this game for 12 years now and i want to experience Halo in a new way. Otherwise this dedicated fan would of left.
Now yes, after all of that its just my opinion. Its nothing persona against you but this is what 343 have to deal with. Fans wanting the game to be different.
One last comment, if we really want this game to take off, we need to push for a competitive infinity playlist. Yes it needs updating and balancing but this would be a natural evolution to Halo.

It tells you exactly where the person who just killed you is.
How does that not affect game play?
Alot of once amazing franchises are doing this. They want to sell more by appealing to the casual gamers,in doing so they water the game mechanics down to make it more accessible to those people thus sacrificing the core fanbase.

You’re right, it doesn’t change gameplay but it was just adding to the whole attract other people just to sell games.

I could adapt to changes like making a GoW 1, 2, 3 kinda weapon selection between br dmr and ar or whatever, I can deal with sprint but spawning with Plasmas, shotguns (the boltshot), and camo? Being able to see through walls? Not having set weapon spawns? That’s just not halo

The truth is, nothing will save Halo 4 at this point.
343i should drop all the remaining DLC onto the market today at no costs and walk away from Halo 4. They should then turn ALL of their attention toward Halo 5…

The downfall of 343. They put a horrible horrible effort into halo 4 and lost a ton of fans.
They are going to release halo 5 which I’m sure will be better but because they pulled this little stunt, nobody is going to come back. And by god, I HOPE nobody comes back. 343 doesn’t deserve any fans after doing what they did to halo.
Its like someone being released from jail. Sure, he is now free just like any other person, but who wants to be associated with someone with a terrible past? A dishonest past?
