This is the problem of how success is now judged, instead of a game reaching mid cycle and judging how it is from there, it is now soley based on how much units were sold in the 1st few months!
People are always going to buy things that are new regardless of what it is, its how the game does 18 months down the line what counts, will it still have those 4,000,000 gamers that bought it? or the 400,000 in the 1st week on xbox live? or will it just fade int obscurity?
It said, halo 4 is the best in the series. I honestly can’t imagine Halo 2 NOT being the best in the series. It revolutionized console gaming. It was the birth of matchmaking. Reguardless of numbers, Halo 2 had a bigger impact on the series.
Carefull there 343i, there’s only so many promises you can make before you dissapoint again 
But in all seriousness 343i should really buckle down and really think and plan about Halo 5 before making unnecessary promises.

Alright then take it from an avid Halo campaign player, Halo 4’s campaign is not the best by any stretch of the imagination nor does it hold to todays standards of story telling ,characterisation,level design and enemy design. Music and voice ating was alright though.
But thats just my opinion.

I wouldn’t expect the best game of the series since this is the 1º game of a new studio. and thats the serious problem here. Most of the gamers were waiting for something “completly new” like it was Bungie (the original studio) to do it…
And thats the opinion of the writer of the news, probably he loved the halo 4, but the rest of the news is legit

Personally, I don’t think the developers themselves should be saying which game is the best in the series. It kinda ruined the humbleness the bulletin had when they admitted that Halo 4 could be better and that mistakes were made, but it is still better than any other Halo game.

Halo 4 isn’t any better.
I expect Halo 5, to be better, especially considering it will be created with Next Gen technology and they now have a idea of what to do and not to do with the series.
If Halo 5 can not be the best of the series and can not revive the franchise to its full potential, then I do not know what to say honestly. Halo 5’s success lies on a great Matchmaking experience, a amazing Forge(It better be, Halo 4’s is only a decent editor.) and a amazing story that will blow away my expectations, if it has none of those qualities I will drop the franchise honestly.
