For the love of all things Halo, full collision needs to be in the game!!
It actually is because they explicitly mentioned in the Blogpost that they are keeping the BR unnerfed from the Global Melee nerf to retain its 2 tap melee. If that’s not Ranked/Competitive bias, idk what is.
I’ve also recently watched alot of case studies on how games die, and 80% of them are specifically due to entertaining the competitive hardcore crowd, AKA 30% of the playerbase while leaving 70% of the playerbase (the casuals) in the dirt.
Time to study Halo Infinite with these factors in consideration, can’t wait to add Infinite to another long list of failed/mediocre games which can’t retain a healthy playerbase due to competitive bias.

But the Mangler nerf was not due tge competitive scene. 
The just keeping the BR untouched.
Thats a big difference. In fact, most of the pros want the mangler as it is.
Infinite has no social side at all due to missing features like custom games, lobby system, proximity chat an struct ssmb. Changing the mangler is probably the smallest contribution to killing the social side.
Yea but all the things you mentioned are upheld and populated by the casual playerbase, the playerbase most affected by a global melee nerf, nevermind a mangler nerf.
Making the game “harder” for them through nerfs is alienating them all the same. And please, the Mangler nerfs was sparked by the Mangler complains by pro players and ranked players who complain that it’s “no skill” while some have mentioned that moving them to red racks, a majority of these complaints firmly demanded a nerf.
Unless 343 is utterly inept at keeping tabs at current trends and what people are saying, then it wouldn’t make sense at all for them to nerf melee on a global scale instead of you know, just moving the Mangler to the red racks. And why is BR specifically left out in this global nerf? Ranked, duh.

343 can’t even fix their own option menus. Ever since the VERY FIRST FLIGHT! I have had to manually check and then uncheck ‘Speed Lines’ box to turn it off every time I load up Infinite lol if a developer can’t even get something as simple as the option menus working correctly… what hope does the rest of the game have?

I understand exactly what you’re saying. As much as it can be frustrating in tighter spaces it pales in comparison when you engage multiple enemies at once and they get away because he phases through his teammate. I can’t tell you how many times my own teammate has phased through me and I blew myself up with a rocket as a result. Collision is a fact/obstacle of warfare and should always be in fps mp gaming.

Agreed. My friends and I used to utilize this as a tactic to scale walls or levels to get advantage points on an enemy team. Now it seems we are fighting along side “Casper, the friendly spartans.”

Mangler and Melee nerf 343i hurts casual players, or people who are on the fence, skill wise and about the franchise. THAT IS THE BROADER AUDIENCE!!!

I agree totally with what you’re saying.
I would occasionally get annoyed when trying to run from a gun fight in Halo Reach and a team mate would accidentally block me, but I’d have never asked for collision to be removed. (By occasionally, I mean like once in every 50 games I’d have a 2 second period where I’d be annoyed, then laugh it off)

They have this for mcc. I don’t know why they don’t flight future updates for infinite with the general public instead only they’re -Yoink!- testers or whatever… the ui probably doesn’t support it.
If this is from 343, this is the dumbest thing I have ever read and it’s clear as day they literally don’t know what they are doing.
Maybe if they would stop trying to treat Halo like CoD by designing maps like CoD, there wouldn’t be the dumb excuse as of what I just read.
Learn to make decent maps 343. Ffs you’ve had 10 years.
