To be fair, skins for esports teams break immersion more than Pizza ARs. And they really didn’t have to be included at all, let alone at launch.
They’re extras. The money goes towards the Halo … tournament … stuff, I don’t know what it’s called … HCS? It’s a weapon skin, who cares? Either way, if you’re not using Shark Tooth Grin, you’re doing it wrong. lol

They didn’t have to be included in the game. I get other weapon skin packs that can be bought with RP but not these. Why? Because part of the money goes directly to the teams. Therefore, these skins are only for those who are fans of the teams or Halo eSports in general. I’m not buying any of these but if there is a Team Liquid or NV packs (which I assume there will be) I’ll be on that.

Can’t wait for the NV skins. Would love to see them make some Final Boss ones eventually.

I don’t think they should have been included from the get go. Some things are cool when released later to keep the content fresh.
That being said, I have/never will spend money on REQs and IMO, while I can understand why some are upset about the prices for certain items and it’s fine to voice those concerns, at the end of the day, they are optional and not necessary to enjoy/play the game.
Me personally, I have no desire to support a Pro Team. Now, if they were to do a promotion for something like cancer research or a similar cause, sure.

Um, the original HSC pack was able to be bought using RP points, it was 80k though.

Unfortunately I missed out on the original HCS pack, which is sad because not there is no way in getting them via few points.
And they are asking you for $10 just for that skin.

They are skins, It’s to support the HCS and the pro teams, what is wrong with that!?!?!? and your slot is empty because they are part of the game and you didn’t buy them. Your just mad because your that guy who HAS to get everything and don’t want to spend money. Well deal with it or pay up!

I mean we should be able to get them by playing the game NOT paying for them, for example the halo reach armor you didn’t have to pay for, neither was the halo 4 armor, well excluding the map packs and the armor you could have gotten with the DLC.

Im not a stiff about getting everything, it’s just sad that you have to pay even more than you already did to get them you know? And what I meant from saying “from the get go” I meant like when anything new comes out you use your points to purchase them and get them from gold packs. Not having to actually buy them.

You can get all the main armours and weapon skins by playing the game these are special one off skins to specifically support certain halo teams.

Here’s a thought; why do we have packs that are payment only with some of the money going to already-wealthy-and-heavily-sponsored-esports-teams (like they need more money for…what? Exactly? New SCUFs?), when we could have payment only packs with cool skins that go towards charities? Seems like that would be a much more worthy cause. Child’s Play? Toys for Tots? Teach for America? ASPCA? And many more that would greatly benefit from the pockets of Halo players.
Eh, currently there isn’t a weapon skin that really peaks my interest at all really. Not like weapon skins in Black Ops 3.
Tho I did get the Fries one for the magnum, so I’ve got that going for me, which is nice.
