Some more news on sprint has unleashed Dec. 12th. It takes about one second to reach your maximum velocity when you begin sprinting. However, If you are shot or dealt any type of damage before reaching your maximum velocity, you will be forced out of sprint! That’s good news. This means escaping will be more difficult to achieve! It’s a genius move, good job 343!
Also, The hit marker ping sound has been altered to only play on the final shot, when your opponent dies! This is more good news! I like it too! It gives off a kill confirmed feeling!
I can finally say that 343 are bringing fresh new elements into Halo 5. Spectating will be a revolutionary step in the Halo Universe, like Forge and Theater!
When I say revolutionary, I mean something that is a must in Halo, and must remain in every Halo game that follows!
Slowly, 343 are getting better, and I’ve gained a few more specs of confidence into them! (I’ve not been too happy with them lately)
It seems like H5’s changes are pretty balanced and it seems like they compliment each other. That being said, I think we should all have some skepticism (as the title of the thread suggests).
From my perspective, the fact they ditched loadouts, ordnance, streak rewards, thus establishing equal starts power weapons, and have encouraged map control shows that the turn around has happened fairly swiftly.

I like these minor but big changes! And really my only gripe with Halo 5 from what i’ve seen in footage is the ADR. That’s the only thing I just can’t get used to seeing in a halo game. I realize Halo has always had ADR in it’s own way with certain guns, and as a halo fan i’ve always been happy with it. It’s just the way they are doing it this time around and especially how it’s on every weapon, that bothers me. But these changes to sprint make me hopeful that at the least they’ll remove ADR from guns that aren’t supposed to have it.

ADR is the zoom on weapons. I forget what 343 is calling it, my bad

So you meant ADS? If it’s that, Smart Scope is just an animation to give a bit of flavour to the old zoom and making the automatics a bit more useful.

I get that, but not all guns need it. Like the Shotgun… or the needler, assault rifle, plasma rifle… I’m fine with weapons keeping it that have always had it, but why add it to everything? That just seems dumb to me.

Well, I know it seem redundant to some weapons, but for some of them it was needed.
