343 are listening.

Kevin Franklin tweeted the following:

“Getting lots of great lists of things to fix - many we are aware of and in progress. I’m away from studio but team is working hard on fixes.”

So yeah 343 are listening to us and fixing what we want fixed but it’ll take time. So now we shall wait…

This is obvious. Anyone who seriously thinks 343i released Halo 4 and then left town is out of their mind. Of course they are working hard to fix things. What people don’t seem to realize is that takes TIME to do properly.

Be patient!

Yeah, everyone’s acting like 343 just flipped on the Halo 4 servers and then went to have a good nap. Just because the issue isn’t fixed within the first hour it’s found doesn’t mean they aren’t listening. Company’s have priorities.

Half of these problems wouldn’t have existed if they actually had the open beta.

A little acknowledgement on their own site is what most people want.

Bulletins? Naw, we get 100 pages of “how to use the Waypoint stats page”. 1) Normal people can figure this out on their own. 2) If you made a simpler stats page, we wouldn’t have to be given instructions.

Forums? Naw, we get mods and BS Angel coming here saying “everything will be fine” once in a blue moon.

It’s ridiculous. Until they actually tell us what they’ve fixed and I see that it has been fixed, I will continue to cry and moan about it.

Should have a “DevBlog”. Something that help us tracking what is fixed or point out what is broken. There’s already a section for this but hidden in the abyss of the Forum Managed by a hand of few coming everything is getting fix but without further informations.

But patience is the main thing we should have in our Loadout.
( see what I did there? )

Indeed, we’d have a whole different slew of problems.

Sarcasm aside, this isn’t entirely true. Open betas are good for something types of games, but multiplayer shooter is not, in my opinion, one of them. From my experience, open betas cause more problems than they solve.

You clearly don’t read the bulletins, then. Each one talks about issues that are being addressed. You also clearly don’t understand game development and programming. Problems can rarely be solved quick and easily, as certain solutions can often give rise to new problems.

And it’s a little ridiculous to expect the developers themselves to come on to these forums directly. They have a web team to talk to the community, and that’s what happens.

@FriendlyStu16 I think we are the open beta.

LOL. A few weeks ago, the Bulletin was literally just an instruction manual for the Waypoint stats page. What a joke. The “fixes” they’ve talked about in the Bulletins are so minor I really don’t even pay attention to them. Sure, they fix a broken part of Complex. That should have been fixed before the game shipped! I want to know about Join in Progress and when they’ll give us the option to turn it off, about maps that aren’t BTB, about gametypes that aren’t Fiesta Slayer, etc.

No, it’s not ridiculous to have someone representative of 343i (and also has some sort of clue as to what’s going on) come on the forums. Bungie had representatives, not necessarily developers, on the forums all the time. Hell, they actually used their Matchmaking Forum (Optimatch), whereas this one is drying up more and more every day.

Yes it is ridiculous, the development team has their own problems to deal with and wasting their time to tell people they are fixing the issuses when they most likely don’t have all of the bugs or additions worked out. And as some in this very thread have proven even acknowledgement is not good enough now they want details. This is why most developers don’t list changes until they have the final results, now all we are going to get is people whining until 343 announces the changes and fixes and even then some may not agree or find some other reason to complain.

yes its pointles, even the devs know it. You give the community ifno, they want more. You give free dlc, ok not good enough, want more. Basicly they give an arm, the community want an arm and a leg. You cannot please everyone.
Today sadly people just exspect things given to them, more more more ect.

If 343i were to give weekly updates of proges of bug testig, some would be happy, but then your get pages and pages of people saying, stop working on this fix, this one is more important, or why are you changing that i like that as it is ect. It just doesnt end.

You need to pay closer attention:

> • Fixed scripting issues in Regicide
> • Fixed exploit locations on Solace
> • Fixed KotH on Complex
> • Fixed Mantis spawn timer on Meltdown
> • Made late joining improvements to Join in Progress in all game types
> • Reduced the window for Join in Progress in Slayer game types
> • Made improvements to Join in Progress for uneven starts

343 has a community management team which regularly check and participate on these forums and act as a mediary to and from 343. BS Angel, a 343 employee, is the community manager. How does she not count as someone who has a clue as to the happenings at 343i?

343 can’t be fixing the problems if they are on the forums calming Halo fans down. So they watch for the problems that are reported and fix them.

if they are listening then why wont they give me a code

It would be pointless for the devs to even try on this board, they would getting nothing but abuse most likely.

mr superintendent was just here

> if they are listening then why wont they give me a code

The codes are being released through XBL very slowly. If you have followed the rules in this thread and have confirmed that you are eligible for the code, but didn’t receive it, then you will eventually get it via Xbox Live messaging. I just received mine today and its been 2 days since I posted, you have to have patience.

Also i like to point out bungie were never and better or worse for community. I been a long time member of bungie forums i joined b4 h ce even came out. Back then and during h2 , there were post apon post of complaints about hacking, cheating, bxr , button glitches, out of the map problems, spring jumps ect ect.

Going forowrd to more recent things, we have halo reach, almost everyday people were complaining about nades being to powerful , armour lock, and ofc bloom.
Bungie never talked about these things in there updates most of the time, hell i remember they released a dlc trailer for maps, and showed armour lock destroying -Yoink-, it almost felt like they were taking the piss , seing armour lock was complained about almost hourly.

So my point is, its not just 343i this started happening. Devs know if they give to much info away, it just opens a huge can of worms, and if anything changes before the fix goes live they will never hear the last of it.

yea i posted on the 2nd i didnt know they were still sending them out,
