People want the Mangler nerfed because it actually does decent damage and people are mad that someone actually killed them with it. It does not need to be nerfed it is fine the way it is at least in campaign

From my understanding the discussion is revolving around turning it into a tier 2 weapon rather than outright nerfing it.
Which is honestly a great way of dealing with it without impacting its performance.

Almost every time I pick up the mangler I get double/ tripple kills and killing sprees with a lot less effort than any other weapon.
Does it need to be nerfed into the ground? No.
Does the ease at which it kills at both close and mid range need to see some balancing? Oh yea; the thing is super effective at anything but the long edge of medium range.
But they could adjust the starting ammo or respawn timer and keep the damage model the same too, which might make sense.

The gun will most likely see a nerf in some way. Most likely it will be turned into a t2 weapon and also receive an ammunition nerf. As it stand it has way too much and the capabilities far exceed any weapon in the game.
There are plenty of threads on the mangler that don’t start off by insulting people, much less doing so for something that hasn’t happened.
