Honestly, 343 is a -Yoinking!- joke. I really hate to see Halo go down the drain like this, it really sucks. I’ve been reluctant to make a thread about 343 but with the most recent map back -Yoink- I think it’s time.

Everything they done wrong:

Custom Games - Terrible, very few options barely customizable.

Armour - The armours in the game look horrible, only 1 or 2 decent ones, personal opinion but I thought I’d include it anyway.

File Sharing - As far as I’m aware the file share system still doesn’t work. A month after release.

Early specialization codes - Really, I feel for the LE owners. They have been -Yoinked!- over by 343 in every way. This is just one of them. They were lied to about having exclusive access to specializations.

Map pack - First, the maps are plain bad. Second, the -Yoinking!- free maps. LE owners paid and extra £20 and they lose out on the Specializations and now the map pack went free for a time? -Yoink-. They weren’t given initial access to the maps they paid for. But rather what they paid for was given away.

Forge - Very little added

Maps in general - No variation online. Same maps over and over. Maps are bland and boring. Only map I enjoy is Ragnarok and it’s a remake.

The is so much more that I’m not even going to go into. So feel free to discuss Halo 4 and 343’s recent -Yoink- up. Also, I’ll probably get banned for this as 343 can’t handle people giving an honest opinion on there game.

Halo 5 and 6 and get to -Yoink-, I’m not going to be purchasing them now.

The rest of your arguments are the same things being argued in circles in this forum that can go however you want them to, but the map pack isn’t their fault. They don’t control the Xbox LIVE marketplace and can’t be held accountable for the glitches that occur in it. That one is on Microsoft.

  1. The codes were a Microsoft promotion.

  2. The maps being free has nothing to do with 343. It was a problem with Microsoft and how they handled its release.

There’s been a lot of complaining but there’s nothing which can’t be fixed with a TU. You’ve mentioned things here which I didn’t in my thread, so why don’t you lose the hate, collect yourself and post in more detail about how 343i can improve the game?

Let’s see Bungie can now do whatever they want, and add whatever they want to their new IP Destiny without them having to cater to this community ever again.

Judging from the concept art for Destiny, a lot of Balance scientist and Halo 3 traditionalists are gonna be left holding onto 2007, while awesome and hopefully OP mech tanks scurry about the new Bungie landscapes.

Bungie will never have Halo again, plain and simple.

Custom Games - You can’t remove sprint gasp Can’t change how the flag is handles double gasp Get over it. It’s a new game, figure out new gametypes you can make within the constraints of what has been made. There are PLENTY of options, even if you don’t like them, they are there.

Armor- Needless to complain about. You only see your spartan when you want to…so just don’t look at it. Would you rather everyone look exactly the same?

File Share - Yeah, this should be up and running. :-\

Specializations - LE owners paid for exclusive EARLY access to the specs. Says so right there on the thing. EARLY.

Map Pack - MICROSOFT messed up making them free for LE/Map Pass people. When they tried to fix it, it ended up free for lots of people. The glitch WILL be fixed. The extra money for the LE was for so much more than the map pass. Sunk cost, move on with your life.

Forge - I don’t do much forging so I don’t know the problems people have, other than not having a Forge World type area.

Maps - I enjoy the maps. It’s the same maps over and over because that’s what people vote for. Want to really try new ones? Get some people together and fill a party. You’ll get to play whatever you want.

If you get banned, it isn’t because of an honest opinion. It is because of a non-constructive, spammy post. There are plenty of other threads just like this one.

If you don’t want to play anymore, fine. Just leave. No one will even notice that you are gone, and a manifesto on why you are leaving is not necessary.

Speaking on the campaign part the campaign wasn’t to me bad at all. Different I must say bad? no. As far as the multiplayer part it honestly could have been better especially the maps. I find myself always wanting to play HAVEN and RAGNOROK. As with previous HALO games I was not so picky at all when it came to choosing maps especially the armor. Only armors I really think that are decent is pathfinder, wetworks (which is my favorite) , the Gears of war armor is pretty cool, and the recruit, and of course the master chief one. Other than that from what I seen so far I haven’t seen any that I like aside from the unicorn one which I cannot get because you had to purchase the HALO 4 console bundle to get. The multiplayer really could have been a lot better and never in my years of playing HALO have I ever even debated on if I was planning on purchasing new maps or not. I honestly don’t know if I am going to purchase crimpson for 2000MS points or any MS points at all. As for spartan ops , spartan ops is cool but the environments need to change is get’s dull playing in the same environment.

bungie will never own halo again, its possible that MS can hire them to make a new halo once their contract with activision is over, still highly unlikely.

90% of my friends are done with Halo because of halo 4. They were long time halo fans that are the reason I got into Halo…

ugh why??? I really wish things were different with halo, I like to see halo do well. Everyone is leaving.

Bungie will never have Halo again, Bungie DID NOT WANT TO MAKE HALO ANYMORE, hence the split from Microsoft. People sure love to forget that they were tired of the same series.

Besides, after Reach I’m GLAD they let the series go. It was obvious that the creative spark and enjoyment for the Halo series had left them.

Haven’t seen anything missing myself. Player speed options still there, gravity still there, damage/shield strength/etc still there, infinite ammo still there and so on. What’s actually missing?

That’s right it’s just an opinion and personally I like most of the armors in the game. Certainly look like a brand new generation of Mjolnir armor for better or worse.

This is a fair point, that should definitely be fixed pronto.

EARLY access. It was never advertised as exclusive, only EARLY.

The pricing failure is MICROSOFT’s screwup, NOT 343’s.

What was added is very useful though. I especially like the object copy feature and the “phased/static/etc” trait for objects. Placing things and having them stay in position has never been easier.

Could still use some more fine tuning though, more precision especially.

It stops being just an “honest opinion” when you try to push it as indisputable fact. That’s when the problems arise.
