Nothing beats a possible weekly $.05 skin you only get $.02 in store credit for after sale lol.
Making that that fat stack of NFT cash
Funny, but irrelevant to the point. Thanks for the laugh though I needed that.
Except cost doesn’t lol.
Again while the game cost money (not F2P as it is now), cheating became so rampant that Valve gave the investigation tools to the community to alleviate stress internally.
Actually truth be told, it could go a long way in this game if 343 did the same. Maybe then they could introduce an actual compensation system for the work they do.
Hey now! That was “Lucky Blue” not Cadet Blue. I have you know when you use Cadet Blue on Yoroi the metal ontop of the visor is colored blue. It’s not with Lucky Blue. You can see it yourself with the waypoint glitch. That small change definitely justifies the purchase
It wasn’t kind of gameplay. It was gameplay. It may have been for one mode, but it was still gameplay tied to loot boxes, which they sold. You want that cool Wasp? Pay up, and hope you get lucky. You want that hammer with all the buffs, same thing. Just because it wasn’t available in every mode doesn’t mean it was only kind of gameplay. It was game play.
your also forgetting that we could also earn the in game currency to buy them so we had an option for it unlike here which I agree we need a in game way to get the current to use in the store
It has ruined the experience. The entire reason the game is in the state it’s in, is because of the monetization scheme. 343 has done some extremely scummy and shady things during the release of this game.
A slim selection of playlists to support the annoying challenge system that is there to encourage you to buy challenge swaps to get more annoying challenges that are there to encourage you to just straight up buy out the battlepass levels.
I’m sure they made a killing with this battlepass due to hype, as well as 343 calling the game a “beta” at release. They basically tricked people into thinking there is more coming on the actual release date by telling people they were releasing a “beta” version of the game. Traditionally, AAA companies release a slice of the game and call it a beta. That’s what everyone is conditioned to because that’s the normal process. Almost everyone I talked to gave 343 the benefit of the doubt. I can’t tell you how many times I heard “just wait until full release”. Everyone’s answer to almost every complaint before release day was , “this is just a beta, wait until full release”…
The game is free to play, and they can do whatever they want with it. I can’t complain that they released a game with very little content because they did release it for free and it doesn’t have to cost me anything to play it if I don’t want it to. But I don’t see many people sticking around and willing to purchase the next battlepass if major improvements with playlists, progression, the level of creativity of armor and coatings offered in the battlepass and store, and the entire customization system aren’t made between now and then.
diffrent situant here then that on that gameplay was locked behind the paywall for infinite its just armor that doesn’t do anything aside form make you look different
It’s not different if we’re talking about Halo 5. Which I was. Only reason they’re not doing that same thing for Infinite is because of the backlash. Halo 5 shows they’re not above loot boxes and locking gameplay behind them.
The only reason it doesn’t lock gameplay behind a paywall is because they think they can get more money this way. They tried loot boxes and locked gameplay before. They got backlash for it. EA faced legal challenges because of it. They are trying a new model to make even more money, not because it’s more ethical, but because the loot box model didn’t work out as well as they liked.
You really think Microsoft is trying a new model to please fans, and not because the old model didn’t generate as much revenue as they would have liked? If that’s the case, why won’t they give us back colors? They know we don’t like those being taken away. You know why they are silent about giving them back to us? They don’t want to, because they think this system will net them more money then if we had colors to choose from freely. Corporations are motivated by money, period. Sometimes their goal of more money aligns with what you want, sometimes it doesn’t, but their goal is always money.
Actually I think you can still purchase the previous battle pass even after it has ended. Not sure though.
Either way when it comes to the Battlepass, I’m essentially going to get the next 20 for free.
I have the GameStop rewards membership and I get 5 bucks every month. Ever since I heard the word Battlepass and free to play with Halo I began to save up those and redeem them for Xbox money.
I essentially used GameStop’s money to buy Xbox money and have around a total of 250 Xbox cash. Not even sure of 343 can consider that actual profit lol. And the best part is I’m going to keep redeeming my stuff for Xbox cash so I could essentially never directly pay for a Battlepass. And this Christmas I told family members to just get me like 10 bucks Xbox points or whatever.
They got to find a way to re sell you the color tan. I think that’s the next one, right now it’s brown… They are selling you brown and some mudflaps but mostly Brown …
Exactly my point. It doesn’t make them evil or anything. Almost every corporation functions this way. Regardless, understanding their motives is key to gaining any traction.
