343 and Microsoft is the new EA

hard disagree.

I’ve been playing since CE and don’t mind it at all. So please speak for yourself, buddy.

You know why? Because I am simply well-educated and understand how F2P business-models work.

Do I like it? Hell naw. Do I support it? Hell naw.

Does it take anything away from H:I’s awesome gameplay? You can guess it: it does not.

I couldn’t give less of a SH if someone’s willing to pay 20 bucks on some armor.
Whatever floats their goat. The game’s great. I’m an adult and I won’t dictate how others should or should not spend their money.

You’re just being a -Yoink!- because others don’t share you opinion.

Please don’t say this. Nintendo is the real EA 2: Electric Boogaloo. The reason why this stuff is so expensive is because the game is free and economic inflation.

Lol they really are trying to double dip us and this we would t noticed. They tried to sell us the same color red twice but for two different Armor cores… hard pass. It hey those free Coatings they gave me will do just fine. Hell I’m just rocking the plane old black you get in Campaign lol. Must bug them seeing so many people just using default colors lol

Idk, reselling me the same red seems sus.
I kinda find it funny though, they took 10 of the 48 colors from Halo 5 have them as default. Than they took they choose from the other 38 colors and resell them slowly back to you but lock it to an armor core so they can sell it to you again in another armor core.

When they come out with let’s say the Mk7 B. All your alcolors you paid for won’t transfer or armor peices so they will get to resell you the same.srudf again.

It’s funny but Kina sad. Kinda a lack of creativity I guess and double dipping people’s wallets … But me 🪨 jgnthw standard default stuff feels nice in this game…

I don’t understand how somone can take what’s being said whether it’s on par with Ea or not and downplay what 343 did by saying “it optional”. As if explaining the obvious change the fact that 343 isn’t that far behind EA and things will get worse with the shop.

Seriously, I bet 343 has gone so low that they will be selling assassinations, and that is most of the reason they are not in the game right now.

Correct. I paid a total of 70 because I wanted to be able to unlock things in multiplayer. Everyone who plays this game is going to buy the campaign anyways so there’s no excuse of the multiplayer being free to play. They put themselves in this position and we are still paying full prince while finding everything locked down for even more money. All this multiplayer stuff should be included. Its disgraceful and we see through it all.

The main issues, above and beyond, are that the armor and cosmetics in the store cost too much and this first Battle Pass has an incredibly small amount of stuff for people who haven’t bought into it. The prices for cosmetics need to be cut across the board, the weekly rotation needs to stop and be replaced with a full catalog to let everyone see everything they can buy, the free track of the next BP needs more cosmetic items, the premium track of the BP should be put for a flat cash purchase with no credits option available, and that would free up credits to be earned in-game to be used to buy boosts and cosmetics in the store.

Those are the changes that I think would be a massive improvement.

Also, I think it’s ludicrous that they didn’t do the slam dunk thing with making Commendations a thing again. Get X number of kills with Y weapon, you get a weapon charm that’s a plastic version of it. Get X more kills on top of that, you get a silver coated charm, and more on top of that, you get gold, and then the final ones are diamond and Onyx, and at the final one you get an emblem and a full weapon skin. Just letting people earn smaller trinkets would’ve gone a huge way in alleviating issues.

Tbf the battle pass isn’t even the issue. I think we can adapt to that easily. It’s the fact that they completely put it in the battle pass at this point, and even having some great sets for $20. But on the other hand, I don’t want to spend even money for something that use to come with the game hand in hand

Dude why was campaign even full price. It didn’t even launch with all it’s features. I’d say the campaign was a good 40 bucks at best. It doesn’t feel likes full price game feature. Especially seeing as past halos we’re full price but that included multiplayer. Now they took half the content and made it free. It kept the full price tag. And I don’t want to hear oh but it’s more open world… I’m like yes Ghost recon is open world and has multiplayer and that was all 60 bucks.

People acting like Halo having semi Open world. justified a full game price for campaign alone.

Right on the mark there. I really thought it was going to be around $40. It was without co-op and we still had to pay a full game price. Unbelievable. Open world isn’t really an improvement to what the level design used to be. I really preferred the levels in Halo 3 though this open world type because there’s more variety and you get bored quickly with an open world scenario.

“Likes customization” and “purchases the game exclusively for customization” are two entirely different concepts.

Recognize the difference.

Now you’re just being belligerent.

The season 1 trailer which portrays all unnamed Spartans in free armor and default colors :joy:

It’s still tertiary and not at all impactful upon the core gameplay elements of the title.

Wanna be a shiny unique snowflake, gotta spend some moolah. Tough luck kid at least you’re not locked out of multiplayer lol

Please. They’re prices never drop, but their games (for the most part) are of the best in the industry.

No you haven’t, and I’m getting tired of showing you that you haven’t.

Stop being ignorant.

Because of lawsuits targeting loot boxes in other games forcing them out the financial status quo for other companies.

You have a timeline you enjoy pulling out and slapping people with about monetization in games, but it doesn’t explain why monetization took the path it did. It’s generalized and exaggerated, but not informative in any way.

Sprinkles my dude, not a staple.

If you took these “staples”, every single cosmetic feature out of every single Halo title, you’d still have a fully playable Halo experience as advertised, nothing would be missing from your ability to play Campaign, Multiplayer, Theater, or Forge.

And it was probably misinterpreted by you (intentionally or accidentally) much like how “we mean the same thing” as you incorrectly pointed out.

There’s more balance in favor of player freedoms in Halo Infinite than there ever was in the EA titles that led to the controversy.

Show me where I have to grind 188 days or spend $2100 to potentially unlock the BR or Slayer in Halo Infinite, then I’ll agree with your incorrect comparison.

Again with the gross generalizations and misinterpretations.

I can’t personally wait to unlock the ODST helmet.

Exactly, just play the game that’s what it’s there for!
If you wanna play exclusively just to play, go for it! If you wanna get the armor pieces available for free, go for it! If you wanna grind for the BP armor, go for it!

Except the “character” repeatedly referenced in my dialogue directed at you isn’t some sort of skin, it’s a tool. Soccer players/Heroes that directly impact the way you’re able to play the game. That’s what a staple looks like.

A staple is not a Katana strapped to your back that you can’t use and doesn’t in any way, shape, or form affect the way a match plays out and only serves to make you look cool. That’s a sprinkle, it just makes you look pretty.

No  It’s  Not

Please  Pay  Attention

Oh here comes the belligerence, you’re just trying to cast me as a villain.

I don’t love 343, but I am defending monetization.

On the contrary, based on literally all the evidence I’ve posted, it’s actually gotten considerably better.

Once again:

  • I can play the entirety of Halo multiplayer for free and never have to spend a dime to enjoy it.

Or

  • I can pay $60 for Battlefront II, then spend 188 24 hour days grinding to unlock the basic gameplay elements or just spend an additional $2100 to unlock it for me.

Oof your point has been dismantled, ripped to shreds, and lit on fire yet you still stand by it.

The word of the century folks is “ignorant”.

Because it is lol

I wish I knew how to quantify distance relations on a forum, so let’s try this instead.

Flair animations that only make you a sitting duck target anyway?

Makes my experience easier lol.

How is it that I see the same 4 or 5 trolls in every topic picking fights with the OP?

I was under the impression that wasn’t allowed.

I like it when people think they’re clever, because it’s actually funny.

This guy thinks because he can play MP for free that is justifies 343 deliberate poor actions. So what, I can play a true f2p game like Warframe that has a shop and get triple the content and triple the rewards for free.

Your dumb point again about it being free? :joy::man_facepalming:

Well it’s been said that slander tends to become the tool of the loser.

But I can play multiplayer for free though, and if current monetization methods hold true (whether you like em or not), I won’t ever have to pay a dime lol.

Ok, have fun.

I’m personally not a fan of third person action titles or gothic sci-fi aesthetics. So more power to you, have at it.

Only because you asked:

“It’s free AND I don’t have to pay a dime to enjoy it.”

If there is a post you see where somebody is intentionally insulting, picking fights you can report them and the moderators will take a look and action accordingly.

However if you are under the impression that disagreements = picking fights, well it’s not the same

And that’s the only difference between them and EA. Quality games.
