Let’s see. We know…
• AAs and their “How”
• Sprint Nerfs
• Starting weapons’ mechanics (BR at least)
• Bloom on DMR is SUPPOSEDLY well-implemented and feels good – Killa KC
• Armor Lock gone, Jetpack nerfed*
• Progression System
• Unlocks
• Loadouts
• Ordnance Drops (more or less)
343, you’ve talked about what seems to be the major issues or worries players have about the game… Now can we expect some sort of information about RANKS, since I doubt this is the kind of stuff you’d show at the E3? It’s not that it is one of the things that make or break Matchmaking / War Games / ONLINE… But it kind of is.
And I mean more than “Halo 3 Ranks sucked”. Like some development or potential ideas. Then again, I’d rather have something that “sucks” than nothing at all. Just pointing that out.
Because rushing them at the last minute will result in the Arena all over again. We wouldn’t want that.
Thanks 343.
I’m expecting to see more about this at E3. If not, then we’ll just have to wait until later, won’t we?
Knowing about the ranking system won’t really change much if you ask me, since there’s nothing that can really be done now to change it.

Yeah Arena was a little failure. Well many parts of MM failed because Bungie did not put much effort on this. The wanted just to make a game to “accomplish” the rules of the contract they had with MS.
Maybe a system which give incentive to play again and again in order to accomplish the purpose (rank, level) like the 1-50 system withoy it’s problems, could work better

Yeah, I’m definitely curious about the ranking system in 4. I hope that it adds longevity to the game, seeing that it’s going to be the only game I play until I 100% it.
If there is no good visible skill based ranking system Im going to jump off a cliff.

I don’t know. E3 is more about “selling” the game and attracting people who aren’t as familiar with the series. Someone who’s never played Halo doesn’t care about knowing if there’s ranks and competitive match-ups in it.
They’ll be attracted by the badass characters, weapons, theme or just how the game feels and looks. However, I’m sure we’ll see some crazy reveals, even as fans of the series, but we shouldn’t expect such specific talk, about ranks for instance, at the E3.
