343, all of your lies and half-truths are going to be Infinite's downfall

It’s extremely sad that it’s getting to the point where we can’t even trust the info that comes straight from the horse’s mouth. I’m sure everyone is aware of the story of the boy who cried wolf. After lying so much, nobody believed what the boy said, even when they were telling the truth.

How long will it be until we stop hearing lies about how the next umpteenth fix for Big Team Battle will be the one that actually works or how store prices are getting reduced? No amount of free events is going to reverse all the damage you’ve dealt to the community’s trust. Most of the community will have already moved onto other games by the time you actually start telling the truth about stuff we wanted to hear ages ago.

Stop promising to completely fulfill the community’s requests when you actually won’t.
Stop sugarcoating your blunders and saying “oh, we’ll get it fixed next week.”
Stop lying to us. We’re all sick of it.

Don’t make a [community] a promise if you know you can’t keep it.

They weren’t ashamed to be smug enough to throw their vacation right in our face meanwhile we don’t even get a functioning game. The game centered around melee more than ever before, and the melee is god dang broken trash. And they have not even ADDRESSED this in an official update.

They were kind enough to admit their trash spawns are trash… In one map… On one playlist…

Get real, 343. ALL YOUR GOD DANG SPAWNS ARE TRASH!

God what an awful way of looking at the world. Do you do this in real life? When someone you know says something they think is true but later on is proven to be false do you just call them a liar and never speak to them again?

Someone intentionally lying to you and someone that makes a mistake are not the same, and if you think they are you are a gullible fool. Intent is what matters most.

I don’t know man, free stuff sells lol. Not that I necessarily think it will change everyone’s minds, but it definitely does change some of them.

Looks like it’ll be another half year before you’ll see any major shift, obviously other big F2P games will take Infinite’s lunch, but none of the other FPS titles that released in 2021 have any real chance of stealing players. Infinite basically got lucky with basically every other title that year being hot garbage.

Also, someone just telling you something is not the same thing as a promise. If someone doesn’t put “I promise” in there anywhere it is by definition not a promise. If someone tells me they want to play Infinite with me later it doesn’t mean they “promised” it and that I should hold a grudge against them. Again, I seriously wonder how you interact with other people if this is what you do.

Either liar or extremely incompetent. Aren’t both pretty bad?

Again, intent is what matters. Intent is the difference between self defense and murder, theft and lending, lying and making mistakes, etc.

If you seriously don’t understand the difference it says far more about you than it does about the world around you.
