I think this says it all when a developer comes out 2 months after release and is already promising the sequel will make up for the mistakes of this one.
that’s what happen when you try to copy another franchise that no one cared about until the fourth installment was released instead of focusing on making a true halo game.

Agreed. Hopefully the blind fanboys can stop pretending this game is “OMG TEH BEST HALO EVAR” now that 343 admits their mistake. Its just not a good game.

Mistakes are never made to the point where a developer has to apologize and promise it won’t happen again 2 months after release. This is 343 doing damage control because this game has caused more backlash than any other high profile game since Mass Effect 3.
What about halo 2’s BXR or BXB? What about super jump? Ground breaking glitches that ruined Halo 2? Well not ruin nut made it unplayable

they didnt have to apologize and promise that.
they are a new company and there will be growing pains. it happens.
it just so happens most of the community are self entitled raging brats who dont appreciate anything (not implying its anyone specific) and complain about any little stupid thing like its causing them cancer.
i bet if the community was more polite and respectful people wouldnt be begging to have 343 post something. i know i wouldnt say anything to many of the threads out there simply because they are nothing but insults and flaming. im sure 343 feels the same. <mark>I mean look what happened. we got a long update and sincere reach out from the team and nothing but raging attacks. again.</mark>

No where in the article did they admit the game was not very good. In fact, they said it was a resounding success. Does anyone actually read before commenting?
I mean made it unplayable and non-competitive. Button glitches in halo are not skill the same as the glitch of dropping the flag and picking it up over and over again. I was somewhat happy when they said u can not drop the flag.

Financially it was. Halo will always be a hit at the box office.

I agree, and personally I am disappointed with Halo 4 as well. However, this thread is baseless in saying 344i admitted the game is not good. Could the OP post the quote where they said that?
Frankie never said the game wasn’t good, he said they made some mistakes, which they did. But name games and developers that don’t. Honestly I don’t feel like there is a whole lot wrong with the game and what problems there are I trust 343i to fix them. As for the Specializations and DLC stuff that was on Microsoft not 343i but they are taking the heat for it.

Unless that title update gives us better game types, better maps, Forge World, the ability to record campaign and spartan ops in the theatre, and fixes the frelling lag, they shove their TU up where the sun dont shine.
Big whoop, they admitted they made mistakes. Well admitting it doesnt fix the problem, it only confirms incompetance. An idiot who admits they are an idiot doesnt make them smart. These 343 devs are hacks, wash outs, B-list programmers. They’ve proven that by making Halo 4 inferior to the likes of Halo 3! This game is all graphics and facial mocap, hype, nothing more.

I love how objective this community can be. They never said that the game wasn’t good, they just admitted they could have approach some things better. That is all. But of course the haters are going to skew their words to their perspective. Sometimes its like I can’t tell who the real fans are, and who the ones are that just WANT Halo to fail. Sad days.
Well It is definitely better than reach. Halo 3 was still better than all the others though. The game has many issues such as a lack of custom games options, and a lack of non-loadout non-AA playlists. But the gameplay is smoothe, and the campain is great.
the game is a joke and a shadow of it’s siblings i stood in line for 10 hours for this game and played for a month and gave up have’nt touched i since and suggest you all do the same
and no this game is not better than reach have you seen reach’s pop. since the epic failure known as halo 4 came out. reach has good mechanics yea it’s no H3 but it plays well and still updated and not broke
