343 adds new developer to help with Infinite

343 has added a new developer to assist in finishing Halo: Infinite, thoughts?

Sperasoft have a solid record in the industry, it’s nice to see them getting more recognition.

I hope the new dev is mostly going to be there for content support in regards to new armor and weapon skins. That’ll help guarantee a steady feed of new content which is the lifeblood of any live service game.

They did help Ubisoft with support work on RB6S. I never played it, but that’s definitely a successful live service game, so hopefully 343 picked the right supporting partner. I wouldn’t be surprised if they add more studios.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up being like how DICE used Criterion to develop Firestorm. It might be a way to get a BR mode into Infinite without using direct studio resources, and without relying on the forge community.

Actually this is a quote from John Junyszek on Twitter:

As a few others have said in the replies, it’s normal for big games these days and Sperasoft are pros. Additionally, as @riceZITA noted, they’ve been partnered with us for a while so this isn’t really new news or cause for alarm :+1:They have been helping for over a year from what I have heard.

I’ve looked around their website a bit and Sperasoft has indeed experience
co-developing various AAA-titles, Rainbow Six Siege being one of many.
That said, more (experienced) hands on deck is a good thing in my opinion.

ya, people are blowing this out of proportion. its a common practice and it seems they have been involved for awhile.
