343 added the #12 logo...Potential NFL easter egg?

So in the latest Infinity’s Armory update, 343 added a whole bunch of stuff, but one thing that I noticed is that they added the #12 emblem to be unlocked through the req system. Not all that weird, until I also noticed that they skipped the #10 and #11 emblems and went straight to #12. I think I might have a theory on this…

Microsoft (and by extension 343) is based out of Seattle, home of the Seattle Seahawks. Any fellow NFL fans out there know that the Seahawks take great pride in the passion and intensity of their fans, often referred to as “the 12th man” or just “the 12s”. During Seahawks games, fans can often be seen waving flags with the number 12 on them that symbolize this “12th man.” Throughout the NFL, the number 12 has become a universal symbol of the Seattle Seahawks. So 343, a Seattle-based company, skipped over #10 and #11 and added the #12 emblem. Coincidentally, the default color scheme of all the number emblems is navy blue and electric green, the same color scheme used by the Seattle Seahawks.

The coincidence is strong with this one… What do you guys think? Is this an easter egg?

It would have been more fitting if Seattle had actually made the Super Bowl.

Keep Pounding

I thinks it’s definitely a possibility.

Agreed, if they would’ve advanced the timing would’ve been perfect.

You know that might be right. That’s cool. Guess there’s no chance for something referencing the Pats though.

I just requested a deflated football emblem :stuck_out_tongue:

Microsoft is in Redmond, WA.

It’s the Illuminati, if anything!!!

Yup. The shoulder change from now on is going to be known as the Best Mode Charge.

Theres also 12man teams in Warzone & Assault.

The Juggernaut commendation should’ve been titled “Beast Mode”

I think you’re definitely on to something here.

Yea,
I thought it was because there are 12 people in warzone… but there is no 10 or 11 is there? Lol
