I feel as though 343 should own up and keep their promises to the Halo MCC. I mean the game is plagued with many bugs and problems that take away the enjoy-ability of the game. I made a video with further details here…
Overall do you guys sorta agree? It feels like the game is becoming abandoned.
Of course it is, they rushed it out and they have Halo 5 coming out soon…I bet all available resources that 343 has is going into a sucessful launch ( i hope) of Halo 5.
They said a different team works on The MCC, so theoretically there should be no issue with MCC updates, but it may be that the MCC team has been downsized a lot.

Its really upsetting, if they really do have a dedicated team to the Halo MCC then an update should have been here yesterday. Its two months without an update is unbelievable.
I’ve been stuck On “Downloading Latest Data” for four days straight (this is also the second time this has happened to me). And they completely ignore this bug’s existence. So yes, I completely agree.
I just wish they would fix the backing out of pregame lobby’s glitch. It takes me an hour sometimes to find a game in the higher ranks because everyone just backs out over and over and over and over, well you get my point.

and people like you are the reason halo will be made just like CoD, a yearly game where the only goal is to intise you to buy it every year, still plagued by simple bugs that “will be fixxed in the next game” only to never be addressed. Halo 5 is out (6if u count reach) and yet we still have the same problems that ruined CE, h2 and h3.
I bet your under 15 years old and never even played halo 3 before this game, let alone h2 or H:CE, dont even bother tell me your above 18. No one in their right mind would accept being screwed over for $60 AND HOPE for a better launch.
But who knows maybe by halo 16 343 will finally stop milking the game and fixx MCC (lets HOPE they do SOMETHING)

I find myself unfortunately agreeing with you. Though honestly a part of making the MCC a better experience is updating the playlists and gametypes offered, one thing they are moving in the right direction with. The bad part is as you said, them not fixing or mentioning still existing bugs in the game. Is there any way we as a community or even just a few of us passionate waypoint members are able to get in contact with leaders of 343 like Bonnie, Frank or anyone official to directly ask “Are you dropping the bug fix effort on MCC or will that continue to be worked on in the coming years? Is there any way for us community members to help? Some of us are programmers who’d love to look at and try to fix these issues.”

Sadly they can’t fix that. that’s an Xbox thing. And the 360 also had a similar issue of people going to the dashboard during pregame. I fell that the mcc is really not necessary. 3 of the games can be played on the 360. so there is no need for them to be on the one. I felt like this was suppose to be a way to go back to those old halo 2 days, since they took the servers off awhile ago. A way to pay respect to a great game and a game that help push Xbox to a new level.
I’m still getting maps not load, freeze’s, and uneven teams. Its far from fixed and i guess its going to stay that way now since they’ve given up on it.

Im 30. Ive been playing halo since i was 16, with CE. I also want them to focus mainly on getting H5 launch perfect and then focus on MCC. H5 looks like it will top all of the other games, in my opinion. Why wouldnt i want them to focus on it?
I don’t think they abandoned it at all. They clearly are still working on it seeing how they just added another playlist which clearly took a lot of work. Yeah most people today expect everything instantly and don’t want to wait and it’s easy to go online and rant about it. I think the patches are going to come out at a slower pace because when they released a patch sometimes that screwed up other stuff. So they maybe taking more time and testing the patches more before releasing them.
Yeah, its pretty abandoned now. Is it too much to ask that the game doesn’t -Yoink- up and freeze or Halo 3s maps load or have to quit the build at a frighteningly large amount a night, 8 -Yoinking!- months on? These problems are a pain in the first month of a game let alone 8 months in. Ridiculous.

I don’t understand your logic on this. They bent you over and screwed you royally, and the only thing on your mind is you want them to use some lube next time. How about they fix what was shipped before moving on with the next one. And stop with that 2 separate teams junk, if that’s the case the team that was on MCC is the most incompetant group in game development these days. And if like most companies they split the teams evenly for quality in both places, then Halo 5 could be just as bad.
Seeing as 343 was mainly working on networking for MCC and screwed that up, Can’t wait to see the -Yoink- that Halo 5 could turn out to be. You know considering 343’s Other team is working on it and the MCC team is doing such a great job.
The MCC has worked fine for me since the Dec CU. You also have to take into consideration that H5 has been in development for about 3 years by just 343i. MCC was done in about 12-13 months by multiple developers. H5 will be fine.
