34 Kill w/ the DMR in BTB

Is this normal?

Just seems kinda unusual, but a guy on my team had 34 kills with the DMR in BTB.

He went 47-15-15.

What map was it?

Probably had a bunch of low level scrub or ‘fresh meat’ against him. Seen higher though in high level games. Games random… what can you do.

Can be if you like to camp with the noob rifle.

DMR is a miss-spelling, its actually DNR - Designated Noob Rifle.

DMR + Host = 5SK ever.

Problem isnt DMR problem is tons of autoaim and magnetism in DMR.

You are right with the magnetism, except every weapon on Halo 4 has a ton of Bullet Magnetism

We’re your wrong is DMR has almost the lowest amount of Aim Assist. 1v1 that a disadvantage but if wo DMR’s are fighting to BR’s in close quarters… It gives the DMR an unfair advantage because the Aim assist messes with the BR’s causing BR’s to miss plenty of shots.

This Aim Assist confusion happens when two or more enemies keep crossing your reticle. The Aim assist tries to lock on to the target that crosses in between you and your intended target. If the BR user shoots during this switch… Likely will miss.

Since the DMR has almost no Aim Assist, it never gets confused by multiple targets allowing its user more control and a huge advantage when working in pairs.

fresh meat nothing, scrubs as you kids say can go on a spree with the opmr.
*over powered marksman rifle

yes it’s normal. he’s good.

everyone in this thread relax

Thats not surprising. I have had plenty of 25+ kill games in big team and regular slayer and I am not that great of a player. It happens when you are ranking up and still are not at your trueskill level for the game or when your playing in party with people much worse that you.

But yea, thats normal.

Ok, im wrong. Thanks

I try say magnetism + big reticles + Host = God mode ON

I watch lots of missed shots getting kills in theatre, i think a great net is more important than skill in H4.

Sorry my english mate.

Untrue, the aim assist in DMR isn’t anywhere near as small to not be affected by opponents running past your reticule. There is no benefit in such a scenerio (if it even happened in the first place) to use DMR over BR. I also dare to doubt that DMR has a lot less aim assist than other weapons to begin with. Granted, I don’t have unbiased data for this, but for some reason, the DMR is very is to use in any encounter. BR isn’t any more difficult either, only has less range.

I havent a great net and i like BR for me have a better last shoot than DMR. Have less zoom than DMR but self damage range.

It’s called being good at the game.

Not saying you are wrong, but believe me, the DMR suffers plenty from that effect. I can’t tell you haw many shots I have missed in Spartan Ops because an Elite just sprinted across my field of view.

This is actually one of my biggest complaints going all the way back to Halo 2 for campaign, because the large number of enemies makes that issue very common. Though I don’t recall my aim ever being drawn off my a moving player in MM.
