30 fps multiplayer on one X is a joke

all effects set to 0/off, fov at 80-85 and still 30 fps on one x,
you can get more than 60 fps on medium with a 1060 on pc

Is it though?

First, this build was branched from main 2-3 months ago before a lot of optimisation work so this is far from indicative of current let alone end product. This test is all about the servers.

Also, I’m seeing PC players gripe because their superduper graphics card is still only giving them 30 fps. Reckon the CPU weediness is what’s letting a lot of people down even on PC (because gamers always forget about CPU). That’s also the One (even a One X’s) problem.

Honestly… if the final game only achieves 30 FPS on a One (even a One X), I’d be okay with it for stability elsewhere (c.f. Cyberpunk). That said… lots of optimisation to be done still before launch.

Isn’t it 30fps in 4k for one X?

no 4k on one x, lol

it is yea,
this build was branched from main 2-3 months ago before a lot of optimisation work can get you 120 fps on series x which is how much they said you would get, but 30 on one x which can easily get 60 on this game
I just tried playing on 65 fov ALL screen effects off, and still get 30 fps, you honestly think this isnt bad?
as i said above a 1060 which is on par with one x can reach 75 fps on medium. Are you trolling right now? this isnt ok for a multiplayer game these days, i dont care if its 30 on campaign but not mp
EDIT: dont forget the fps fix update yesterday

its not that suprising. The one x has a similar CPU to that of the one with the series having a CPU bump. Infinite (for now anyway) is very CPU heavy, as will a lot of games coming out. Given the xbox one x has a crap cpu, it being 30 fps is not surprising and should generally be expected at this point.

Consoles are locked to a set FPS target - it doesn’t matter what effects & such you have turned off.

The only thing that may change the frame rates you get would be Performance/Quality modes if they’re available on your platform.

This is also a flight, don’t take every as final and set in stone because it’s not.

They said 120 on next gen, not on one X. As three others have said this is an old build that should answer any question you have about it.

Go buy a Series X or even an S. The One X still has the pathetic Jaguar CPU in it. It could likely achieve more than what you’re getting, but if you want performance, you’re going to have to get into some better hardware.

never said anything about 120fps on one x, i am pointing to the fact that the build reaches end product fps on series x and if its does that means that end product 30 fps on one x is almost certain and a joke, better not release it on one at all

Buy a series x

thats not the point here

I agree, 60fps minimum or drop support. Even the spaghetti code PUBG port can get 60 on a One X. I just wish they would tell us what their target is so we don’t find out on launch day that we need new hardware.

OP, article & vid below should answer your question.

Looks like more will be turned on later for settings. Interesting Series S not mentioned there? Hm.

> Both Xbox One X and Xbox Series X are supposed to have both Quality and FPS modes, but they aren’t both active right now.

Targets by gen/hardware… you should be 4K on XB1X but 30 fps:

> At moment Xbox One targets 1080p and 30fps, Xbox One X 4K and 30fps, Xbox Series S 1080p and 120fps, and Xbox Series X 4k and 120fps.

Hope that helps.

Consoles should have a minimum of 60 FPS. If it can’t achieve that… Oof…

We live in a more modern era, in gaming and it should be feasible. Even on my Ryzen 5 2600, and 1660Ti, I’m only getting like 75 FPS. lol… it is very poorly optimized. It’s just a tech though. (games like cyberpunk like someone stated above, I am getting over 110 on max… this game is still whacked with fps and optimization), Borderlands 3 in 170.

Ininfite should be 60-120fps at least. While Pc’s should be 120-200 easily on this.

it does, thank you

Hopefully it will have a 1080p 60fps option. If the base Xbone can run 1080p 30fps on that pitiful GPU, the Xbone X should be able to run it at 1080p 60fps. The Xbox One X GPU is 3-4 times more powerful than the one in the base Xbox One.

Good deal. You had me curious too.

And folks saying “Go buy a Series X” … I’ve been looking for months to find a new one at msrp (not scalpers). Ran across a single Series S in the wild in past probably 5 months. Passed on it bc I want a XSX. Probably should’ve bought it in hindsight lol.

Don’t play quality then. Do they have a Performance mode?
