Meanwhile halo 3 gave us 7 maps within year 1 and another 6 by year 2. You also have to think about how they’ll continue the trend of 1 BTB map and 1 4v4 map in infinite, so it’ll technically be 6 maps in 3 years.

If we had 3 month seasons, we would be getting 4 new Arena and 4 new BtB maps per year, which would be fine.
But we don’t have 3 month seasons…

I mean I’ve lost my faith, it just seems there’s no motivation for them to do better. The bar is so low and I don’t know if they even have the strength to lift it from the floor. We’ve seen so many failures from this company.
6 years dev time… And 6 month patches not that hard to guess what 343 does next. In a year they will make a public apology and say they will do better. 343 is like BP oil from south park. “We’re sorry” next thing you know they will be summoning cathulu

If you are going to underhandedly include development time for Infinite, you have to include development time for H3. You undermine your own argument with deceptive logic. Shame
Argument still holds, H3 had far less dev time than Infinite.

Well, given the fact that 343 said this is a “10 year plan”. How far off do you think he is with the worst drip-fed content for a PvP game out to date?
Keep in mind that 343 has a 10 year plan so it could be worse than you think.

Well considering we are having back to back seasons of 6 months each, I’d say the only chance is after that 2nd season if people beg and cry for it, if the player base continues to drop, and if people finally stop buying from the store, only then I think they’ll listen. But if they keep making money from cat ears and keep feeding garbage, then there will be no incentive for anything to get better.
Honestly when forge comes I can see 343 saying you can now make your owns maps, etc and they can scapegoat not developing new content. There’s not going to be a playerbase if we keep being drip fed content. I hope most people wise up and don’t spend any money on Infinite in S2. This game is such a sham and 343 should really be shameful of the product they have launched. This game could have been so much more and it’s potential will not be reached at the pace we are on now with the game’s development.

Just a little more time and Halo will be great. Even greater I mean.

2 new maps per year, over 10 years, for a total of 30 maps, the biggest Halo game ever!!! Also look at all the cosmetics in the Battle Passes and shop!!! Biggest customization ever!!! Best Halo game ever!!!

I think that we should ask for well designed maps, ask for quality, not quantity… otherwise they are unuseful…
I dont think 343 will have any employees left in 10 years if Halo Infinite is their only game. Halo wont bring in any money, if season 3 fails I think its more or less game over for Halo and 343.
Maybe a small dev team still making maps in 2-3 years. First year will be fixes and updates. The game would never be ready if they 343 have not release it last year, when you play Halo I it really feels like I am a beta tester.
I think in 2 years players have given up and Halo is as dead as Battlefield.

Yep. They were very apologetic about six month seasons. The distinct impression was they are looking to get back to three month blocks.
Fingers crossed that S2 is the last long one.
The last couple of months have been a little straining (but still having heaps of fun). Hopefully Forge will make up for the second half of Season 2 - but God help us if that doesn’t beta on time.
Power to your soul for still having FUN. I for one can’t do it anymore and it saddens me so as a long-term halo fan. I have sworn to myself to be back, but only so when the game is great and plentiful with content and game modes to never get that stale feeling. I want to play this game endlessly, I really do. But with 10 days played time within the first few months, I couldn’t push on. My heart says yes, but 343’s action turn my heart cold. 3 month seasons coupled with 2-3 REGULAR maps each season could make this the greatest ever. Along with bringing us every game mode that has been in each halo IN ADDITION to new modes.
