Ok, so after finally going on reach after getting to AoTCR on solo legendary i noticed something about these new achievements.
The anniversary acievevments HAVE to be done on anniversary maps (source, me doing dive bomber and the infection chieves on a normal map)
Now i see that this may be the case for the defiant achievements. You have to be either on highlands or condemmed.
Look at premium slayer. 200 people max. This makes 2 of the achivements really hard (paper beats rock, and the one for stopping them on 1 flag). It also makes the infection one -Yoink!- near impossible! you can’t get infection in premium slayer, and it’s too hard to do it in the living dead playlist as hardly anybody has them.
I believe that we should have seperate DLC playlists again.
DLC FFA (like anniversary, with a mix of all gametypes)
DLC Squad (objective and slayer games)
DLC BTB (objective and slayer games)
this is perhaps the only way to get these new defiant achievements!
please 343i, do something to help us out!
Or you should be able to get achievements on any map, after buying the DLC. There is nothing skillful about being lucky enough to find the right map and gametype combo.
I thought they finally had it right, with the achievements for Noble and Defiant Part 1 but then they go and do this.

I had a full game trying to boost the last man standing achievement and a defiant map only showed up once within an hour of trying to get it.

Well at least one showed up, without boosting we’ll never get it =/

Agreed, Agreed and Agreed, PLEASE 343 make these achievements able to get on any map once dlc is purchased.

I got it legitimately.

No one is saying the chevo is hard to get legit just takes eons for the map and game type to come up then it’s just hoping everyone votes for it.
I have all the achievements, you just need a big enough group of friends who all have the maps.

This is the way I attained them. The infection ones are the worst. Moving the Noble maps to a USB is another way to have a higher chance of getting the Defiant ones when searching.
The Noble Achievements were far better designed than the Defiant ones - they could be earned on any map.
Can anyone help me get these new achievements?
i bought both map packs and the anniversary game but none of my friends have any of the map packs(except for the one who does cant afford gold right now).

Go to http://www.trueachievements.com and sign up if you haven’t and then join or create a boosting session.
Achievements should be obtainable on any map once you download the map pack, but the way they have done it forces people to boost the achievements they need due to the fact the maps you need never show unless you boost.

JK, OP. I agree those Achievements are unbelievably hard to get without people helping you. 343 has said before that Reach was basically at the max playlist count, so I doubt they would do that for people that still need it (Luckily, a bunch of people I knew needed them as well. Maybe you could find some people).
Yep they are. Fully completed Reach.
Here’s a tip, find a group to get the achievements with, delete the map packs other than defiant for example on one player.
This will make the game either choose a regular map or defiant only since it cannot chose Anniversary or Noble. Cuts time greatly, we didn’t do it this way cause it didn’t take us very long regardless.
But a good trick none the less.
