3 Mysterious Forerunner Weapons

Here you can see three mystery forerunner weapons. I made this thread to discuss these. So what do you think they are??? I will put the Ideas on this thread. I think the first is the repeater, the second a sniper, and the third a type of rocket. Discuss!

Please note that the descriptions below are only guesses and may be completely wrong!

Weapon 1: Repeater, some type of explosive,Many people belive this to be a repeater.

Weapon 2: Sniper,Many people believe this to be a sniper.

Weapon 3: Rocket, Repeater, something that lobs explosives,a concentrated beam(Inbetween the focus rifle and the Spartan Lazer), a gun that shoots a bolt of light/electricity,will act like either the Brute Shot, Rocket Launcher, Fuel Rod Cannon, or Concussion Rifle.

I am sick of hearing these are the same weapons. Read this please:

Okay. For the last time. The Light Rifle has a single, shrinking barrel that has a distinctive orange light streaking across the sides of the barrel.

The weapon #2, on the other hand, has no orange light across the side. It has two barrel-ish parts on top of each other instead of the one barrel. It has almost an oval shape on the top that curves downward at the muzzle of the barrel, as opposed to the Light Rifle’s barrel which doesn’t curve downward.(Credit goes to Ulicies)

Regarding the sniper: I’m assuming it’s going to act similarly to the Beam Rifle; fast and light. It’ll act as a foil to the UNSC sniper which has been noted to be sluggish and heavy.

That would be my guess to, but remember, those are just my guesses, and I could be completely wrong. What do you think the weapons are?

I think your guesses are very accurate. The bigger, tertiary weapon may be some sort of launcher. I don’t think it’ll be TOO similar to the Rocket Launcher. Hopefully not, anyway.

Alright cool. I think it’s safe to say that the third one will be at least a power weapon.

So what do other people think?

The guy at NeoGAF is right, they look way too similar to each other. They look nice though but not a single one of those has made an impression on me like the first time I saw a Spartan Laser or Energy Sword or Brute Shot. They actually look pretty boring.

With existing Halo weapons its easy to recognise one lying on the floor due to its shape be it a dark long shotgun or a glowing energy sword or a golden fuel rod gun. Those Promethean weapons all look really really similar to each other.

I suppose the same could be said for the Carbine and Storm Rifle too.

 1. Light Rifle again only held by a Promethean Knight. Forerunner weapons change their shape to fit their holders.

 2. Not sure

 3. Just the Knight’s Sheild

> Those Promethean weapons all look really really similar to each other.

They look no more similar to each other than the UNSC weapons.

Please tell me your kidding -.- I am not about to get into THIS argument again. There are huge differences!

I sorta agree. While the color scheme is very similar, the gun shapes are not. Scattershot is extremely uniqu, the light rifle sorta looks like the ‘sniper’ but the barrels are different. But the other 2 are also pretty different.

In your opinion. To me those Promethean weapons look incredibly similar to each other, whereas with Covenant weapons of past there are massive changes in shape and colour. Noone is going to mistake a fuel rod gun for a plasma pistol.

There are only a few UNSC weapons that look alike, and that would be the DMR and BR. All other weapons are distinctly different from each other in terms of shape and colour. An AR is a very distinctive shape that most of us could sketch, the same for the Rocket Launcher or Pistol. Iconic shapes, iconic designs. Those Promethean weapons are not iconic designs and will be harder to distinguish because of that.

Alright, so so far would you say my guesses are accurate or are you thinking of something else?

True, but you will be able to distinguish them by their size and shape.

First of all, of course those weapons are iconic, since they’ve become popular over 3-4 sequels.

Secondly, The UNSC’s color schemes are quite uniform, and are only differentiated by 1: their shape, 2: their sketch on the HUD, and 3: our own familiarity with the weapons, which again, have come after the games have all released.

Of course these weapons aren’t iconic, because we haven’t even had a chance to look at them in-game, hands-on. I’m sure they have much different shapes in person, I’m sure they’ll have much different sketches on the HUD visor, and I’m sure we’ll automatically be able to differentiate them after becoming familiar with them.

Thanks, you summed it up pretty well. This is kinda off topic, but still serves a purpose so cool. Do you think my guesses were accurate? Or do you think the weapons are something else?

In last weeks bulletin (6/9) all 3 are mentioned by name.

She mentions them about halfway down.

They are: Light Rifle, Repeater, and Scattershot

I feel SO bad for you. You are so confused. Look at the link I gave you. It shows those weapons, and they are ALL DIFFERENT! Minor or major they are different. Must I point out the differences?

Haha if you really were thankful for my comment, why not give it a lil’ thank? Just kidding!!! xD

I think it’s a little too early to tell what the third one is. It certainly is big and bulky, but it could be any sort of weapon at this point.

The Promethean’s arrow-hand-thing isn’t even attached to the end like the other weapons, but perhaps that’s just because it’s freezing the moment the Promethean drops it.

Yes they’re all different; I gave you 3 different names.

I see the differences. I saw it in the campaign demo when the Repeater was being held by the Knight at the very end of the demo.

Lol good job for posting without reading anything in the thread.

And he means that it isn’t the Light Rifle, but an unconfirmed Sniper Rifle.
