Ok halo has always shown the military side of things
No Matter how you look at it, Its seems the military was the biggest focus when ever seen.
So for the first type of weapon needed I think we sould add civilians weapons
Think about it
Several times we had civilians help us out. Like in halo 3 where the workers helped us who all were using military standard magnums
Or the farmers in reach who stole the weapons
Where were their weapons.
Even in the military if you bring yor own gun and want to use that instead of whats given they wont stop you. It saves supply’s and allows the solider to use the gun they have been suited with naturally. It would be nice to see a hunting rifle or a hunting shot gun as starter weapons you could buy or place on map. The hunting rifle would only have 1 shot a clip and has no scope but can do exactly the same with a head shot.
And the hunting shot gun would have better range then a normal shot fun but with one shot a clip and do less damage even at close up.
Next artillery.
The missile pod in halo 3 on a tripod was good but Id like to see more like it.

what about some flood inspired weapons

remember in halo 3 some flood would transform and shoot green needles
Pluss a dead flood doesn’t infect so it wouldnt hurt

aren’t they just shooting spines at you in halo 3? that was always the impression i had… as far civilian weapons go i would consider the smg in in halo 3 to be a civilian weapon as well.

That’s not a weapon, that’s like mutations/evolution. How can you wield it? It’s like ripping the teeth out of a tiger and punching people with it.
Civilian weapons would actually suck. They’re not fighting the Covenant- the most they’d have is other humans and hunting animals. It would have combat efficiency of today’s weapons. All UNSC military-grade weapons are huge by todays standards. The MA5B in Halo CE, with its high clip capacity and large round, would be an LMG in this time period. The sniper rifle is basically horizontally-firing artillery. God pistol needs no explanation.
Civvie weaponry would just be 4 teh lulz, and would put you at a severe disadvantage were you to pick them up.
